Curious, any overseas pre-orders still available? Like....the kind that get you 30% off, like Anime-Export?

Amiami still has it, as does Amazon Japan

    Thanks man.

I just checked them and it says 15,120 YPY, that comes out to $134, not much of a savings. :(

That's the full MSRP price without the 30% discount. Amiami has him for 10,520 yen which is around $93 base price before shipping. I'm not sure what amiami shipping would be, but a safe bet would be $20-25. I have a preorder with Amazon right now and he's about $102 shipped with the aforementioned 3-4 day shipping. Bear in mind those prices can change depending on the exchange rate at time of release.

Silly me, I looked at the first price I saw and didn't see the 30% below it.

Your preorder is with Amazon, here in US?

Also, how does Ami work in regards to billing you? At the time of the product shipping? ...or when pre-ordered?

This is my first order with Amazon JP. I heard someone on the MP Inferno thread say shipping is like 3-4 days to the US with DHL. If that's truly the case it sure beats 2.5 weeks SAL shipping.

I went through AE for my MP Inferno much earlier. Yesterday I noticed that my copy is now available and gave the go ahead to calculate and confirm basic shipping. Should come to about $99 shipped but I don't know the standard shipping transit time for AE to the US. I'm guessing 2 weeks or so.

We're in the same boat. However, I was charged $100 before shipping fees from AE for my Inferno. Although with shipping will still be a bit of a bargain compared to a lot of US retailers, I'm ok with spending even less and getting faster shipping.

    Yup, shipped to the U.S.

Amiami charges when in comes in stock. They'll send you an invoice with shipping options and cost (which isn't fully known until they get it in stock). That's one thing I really love about Amazon over amiami - there's no guessing at the shipping rate and you're guaranteed a shipping speed that is as fast or faster than the pricier EMS from amiami. It's also nice that you can cancel at any time with Amazon, whereas amiami I guess technically allows it, but can give you some grief about it.

    Sure, no problem.

    https://www.amazon.co.jp/タカラトミー-トランスフォーマー-マスターピース-グラップル/dp/B01LRGJNXK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480289573&sr=8-1&keywords=mp35

You will need to set up a separate account with them (no linking a U.S. account sadly). You can translate the site into english with the little JP globe button underneath the standard search button. It really is by far the best deal for official MPs. :)

Edit: Also, for whatever reason the price in my orders form is actually less than the listed price. Mine says 9,730 yen (base price) instead of the listed 10,508 yen. Someone I think mentioned that a tax is included in the list price that U.S. buyers don't have to pay, but I honestly don't know the whys.

oooooooh it IS the overseas one; I must have misread your post, I thought it was the Amazon here in the US.

Ok, I guess I'll get on this then. Thanks a bunch!

They use only DHL which is 3-4 day. They just shipped Inferno to me Friday (scheduled to arrive Tuesday) and his shipping cost was 1,838 yen (about $16). Grapple is the same on my orders form. Megatron is 4,111 (about $36).

No, just an Amazon Japan account. You should be able to order Grapple just fine. For reasons no one can really explain, Inferno is no longer available to ship globally.

There should be an option there to ship internationally where you can select your home address during checkout. At least for Grapple, it gives the option to deliver to the US.

Got an order for both Grapple and Megatron at Amazon Japan. I'm going to keep my HLJ preorders open for both figures for the time being just in case something happens with the Amazon orders. They are both now listed as order stop at HLJ so I want to keep them as backup plans, just in case. At current exchange rate it's a $20 saving on Grapple shipped, and I'm estimating about $30 saving on Megatron.
