Could this be a different one than the one that produces the coneheads? Couple of video reviews and a couple in hand and no major qc problems. Increased production? They are reissuing several Mps at one time alongside Mp-36, they have to be made somewhere.

They have been indeed, all I wanted to do was enjoy new pictures and videos of MP-33 but kept on being harassed and attacked by the 'pollmaster'. I hope now that he's gone away I can enjoy my appreciating of the superior MP-33.

How do you know this, I'm just curious?

Has anyone who ordered from AE had his order shipped or payment request or anything?

Very interesting, maybe Vietnam just couldn't do chrome right, so they took the new painting thechnique they learned there and switched to a better factory in china.

Nah, I chocked it up to me being off Thursday night/Friday morning and missing my chance to request my shipping total before they closed for the weekend. Usually I ask for it around 2-3am est and they get it shipped before the weekend.

I can't wait to get this Inferno. I'm more of a fan of the previous designer. But after the Chosen primes video, I just have to have Mp Inferno. Looks better than the 3rd party offerings.

Yep, seeing them all next to MP 33 really shows how off they were. I was super close to getting Backdraft, but his lanky lower body always bothered me. I haven't been this excited about a MP since Ultra Magnus.

I ordered from Nippon Yassan and they shipped mine out on Thursday. What shipping option did you choose? Did they give you a tracking number yet?

Inferno looks a lot nicer in the review than he did in previous pictures. I suspect that I will love him once I get him in hand. I think the MP and the 2 3P figures are all on par with one another and that you can't go wrong with any of them.

Yeah, I did and mine is the same. I'm sure it will get sent out this week. I chalk it up to being right before the weekend and them wanting to wait.

I chose EMS for shipping. You think it would've been a priority, but guess not. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

MP Inferno is looking great and I am anxiously watching my tracking from HLJ! Congrats to everyone who already received theirs and those who will soon.

I'm interested in hearing how the chrome-wear issue plays out on this new MP. Will it require "Future" for protection? Hopefully if they switched from the Vietnamese factory that produced the faulty chrome on past releases, that issue can be laid to rest. Also, some people were having problems with paint-flaking on MP Ratchet. I sincerely hope Takara finally addressed those issues. Considering the asking price on their MPs, they should have.

From what I've read on some of Asia TF forums, it likely has to do with poor QC and leaking factory copies with the production being done in Vietnam. I believe one of the reasons for moving production from China to Vietnam was that the molds were getting copied and KO's were getting made. But the situation was actually worse in Vietnam. Instead of KO's, they actually had "factory rejects", "pre-production samples", or "loose copies" released way before the actual MP release. This happened with MP-11T, Laserwave, and Hot Rod just to name a few. Then the QC was also horrible especially with MP Ramjet. I think these are probably some of the reasons behind the moving of production back to China

The coneheads were still out of China. Apart from chrome the quality out of Vietnam has been pretty decent from Ultra Magnus on. I'm going with the speculation above they might be sharing production across more than one factory to cover the reissues .

Question: Anyone here have experience ordering from amazon.co.jp? I have some questions.

    1. How come my Prime doesn't work on amazon jp?
    2. How come some MP TF can ship to USA, while some can't?
    3. How fast is the shipping to USA with the amazon shipping from Japan to USA?

    Thanks for your help!!!

Amazon Japan is a totally separate entity from any other Amazon, so you need to set up a separate account and any prime membership will only be recognized in the country that you reside in.

No one really knows the answer to question 2. Inferno was available for shipping globally for about two or three weeks and then mysteriously was placed on the 'unable to ship globally' list. Some people e-mailed Amazon Japan about it and got conflicting answers: one said that the original global shipping option was a mistake while another said that the 'unable to ship globally' was the mistake and that it would be corrected upon release (which nothing has changed, so that appears to be incorrect). They are fulfilling the preorders though for people who ordered within the global shipping timeframe.

Very fast! 3-4 day shipping is the average. My Inferno shipped Friday and will be here Tuesday. I swear they're faster than Amazon U.S. most of the time. They use DHL which some people have had issues with, but I have had nothing but great experiences. DHL sends out an e-mail when it ships and on the day that it will be delivered.
