Yeah, since yesterday morning, although I've only been messing with Chromedome so far. Amazing looking figure and the joints aren't too loose, but the wheels don't roll to well on mine. I don't know if that's just mine, or if it was a problem for the Hasbro version as well.

Because the author is a massive geek who puts different references from stuff in his comics, no matter how obscene. I don't mind the fanservice in this manga anyway.

 

Who is that girl?

 

Her name is Papika and she's from Headmasters. And yes, she's just as fanservicey there as she is in this manga.

 

Ah, don't be such prudes. The artist may include fan service, but it's the good kind of fan service that still makes you laugh. The group pics he draws for the Unite Warriors instruction sheets show a great sense of humour.  

 

That's my view of it too. I just wish I knew what they were saying...

 

I love the artwork even though I get confused trying to figure out where to start reading and where to end.

And again, super-tame compared to the sexualization of female characters in mainstream American comics. But let's continue the culture of being outraged/offended and making a mountain out of a molehill.

 

I don't read mainstream American comics, other than IDW TF ones (where I don't recall I've seen any overt sexualization of female characters in quite a while). Two wrongs don't make a right.

 

I don't know if I'd consider IDW mainstream really. More like large indie with their low print runs. But whatever. Let's turn every tiny thing into a cause. A girl in a bathing suit? SCANDALOUS!!!! You can see her knees and everything!!! Truly this deserves to be shared on Facebook and Twitter, so recreationally outraged people can gather into a mob and hopefully cause someone to lose their job. If we're ambitious enough, maybe we can put Takara out of business completely. Because they printed a comic with a girl in a bathing suit. And that cannot stand.












 

 

Look, whatever rocks your boat... but if you just see that as a "girl in a bathing suit" (and not a "highly sexualized half-naked girl in a submissive pose") than I really must question your perception of reality.
