Absolutely, that is a crazy amount of work. The only thing I would say is that you have proved beyond doubt that it was worth it. I'm seriously staggered. I keep coming back to look again. (Don't listen to those folks on FB, they are, for no reason I can give, bad. Oh, so bad. Instead, if you're even 1% tempted to do another, talk to the random lurkerstranger on tfw instead! -that would be me-) All joking aside, whether you do any more or never touch DH again, you've done a cracking job. I defy anyone to post a better custom, because what you've made is true to the spirit of the character in a way I've never seen before. Bravo.

I'm not sure Masterpiece captures my feelings towards this guy. You sure you didn't just 3D print some really nice artwork (that's how 3D printers work right? ). On a side note, Optimus and Bee are customs too right? Pretty sure the actual one isn't so yellow. Love the Marvel head/eyes and what are the knee decals from?
Thank you dude. Bumblebee is straight factory (with Reprolabels). Must just be my phone camera (the DH shots are taken with my digital camera and proper lighting, the in cabinet shots are just my mobile with flash). I did customise Primes head, though. I'm a G1 comic guy, I was never a fan of the cartoon, so my Prime HAD to have dark blue face and yellow eyes. Decals are all Reprolabels.
Thank you. A few people have said that, or that they want one. The time and effort would be prohibitive, I think. I'd need to charge thousands for the amount of hours it took, though I was developing it as I was building it. It was all planned out in my head, and it was my first scratch-built custom (though I used to do Games Workshop 20 years ago, and converted many miniatures, so I knew the materials and techniques), but that led to problems I didn't foresee. Also, it was arguably a touch ambitious for a first toy project. Still, never say never, eh? If I were to ever build one again, I'm sure it'd be a hell of a lot easier.
well just add my name to that list!!! It is absolutely stunning and i have two deathshead figures from two of the best customizers out there you should get with some one to come up with a third party verson of this ill take masterpiece and a voyager size
That figure's too small. It looks dinky next to a full size MP like Prime or Galvatron. And DH is definitely eye to eye with Galvatron. That's why I ended up building him from scratch. I couldn't find anything of the size or physique DH needed to be.
