I bought this figure about one year ago and saw some potential for improvements, the whole project idea was on limbo though until I finally gathered a few parts I needed to start this project. I still intent to give it full arms and legs articulations and better aesthetics and proportions too.

    Changes I made for now:

    • His stock size is about the same size as TR Galvatron and I wanted him taller to go with my new KBB Optimus Prime, so I added up torso articulation and he's now the same height as KBB Voyager MP-10 and I think they go pretty good together proportion-wise. Tank mode looks a bit more extended too and more balanced.
    • Still thinking of trimming off the arm tabs which form the altmodes' turret platform so the fusion cannon can be fully stored inside. Tank mode cannons (stock and G1) can be attached in various different ways now, these pics are just the better configuration I found for now.
    • Added up arm slide attachment and connected G1 Megs fusion cannon to the right arm.
Still have a lot to do, specially about arms and legs swivel articulations, but these will be very hard as I still haven't found the parts I need and the inner spaces on biceps and legs are way to narrow to add ball joints or swivels...

I'd like a more G1 head too, this one looks too IDW-ish for my taste...
When I finish the mods there will be some paint-job details too.

Well that's it for now. Suggestions on articulations anyone?

Nice work, he just needs a better head and some good paint to get the job done. Maybe some new hands?

    Nice start!
I also have this figure on my workbench. He's an excellent base for customizing, and you're certainly doing it justice.

Thanks. I've been thinking about that, I still need to find a good set of hands though.

Thanks man. It would be awesome if you started working on yours soon so we could compare and share ideas and the results.

    Updating
    • Lowered the cannon position for altmode
    • Trimmed the forearm tabs for better altmode configuration and robot mode aesthetics
    • Attached small cannon on his back
    • Added up a few stickers all around
Next step - Biceps swivel (still have to find the parts I need in order to do it so)

That is pretty amazing my friend. I this this mold has a log to offer. Those Feet in ALT mode stick out like a sore thumb though but I have no doubt you will resolve that no problem!

Dude, I really thought they were available in all countries by now. They are really easy to find here in Brazil in every toy shop you come across...Even in supermarkets, just like TR waves 1 and 2... I don't really know why those are so hard to find over there... Amazon has Bumblebee (awful figure)... Maybe they restock with Megatron and others? https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_...lion+&rh=i:aps,k:generations+cyber+battalion+

    Thanks

Thanks man, I don't really think I'll be able to do something about the feet though as they are connected via some small hinges and I don't see ways to reconnect 'em in a different way... I'll be thinking about something though.

    Update - 29/11/16

    * I cut off the fixed hands and replaced them with those Kotubukya's hand set. The figure now is actually looking more natural, articulated and posable after the hands transplant.

    That is looking So brilliant!
you are truly a master :D

As for finding these figures here stateside...its a no go. Hasbro has gotten very weird with their distribution of figs...rather annoying.

I plan on doing something similar on Friday when I get this figure, already have the head and bicep/leg swivel fix planned out. I was curious about the torso extension, what did you use for that? I'm going full G2 with mine, shoulder cannon and all.

I'm way too far from mastering anything bro. Thanks ;)
Dude, they are really easy to find here...I don't get it...why Hasbro is not distributing 'em around there... Actually I don't understand why Hasbro did not finish these molds up just like they should...Specially Megatron and Starscream, they are great molds but they are clearly unfinished... They just need more articulations and voila...

Thank you, I hope not to disappoint you guys. ;)

I actually used some random linked hinges and pivots I had in my junk box and covered it all up with part of one of those combiner wars hands. Kinda hard to explain... I'll try uploading some pictures when I have a chance.

I'm glad someone else will work on this mold too, I have a lot of different ideas and it will be nice seeing other interpretations from my fellow radicon here.
When you say you go full G2... You mean that big green electronic one or the short voyager purple version?

    Good luck!

Green and purple, have the head all painted up already. Not gonna go too garish on the colors though. This is what I will use for the head, not my favorite sculpt but definitely screams G2.

Hey be careful when removing the top piece to the chest, mine snapped in half and had to order another one. Very fragile part and repairing it didn't work too well
