Edinburgh TRU still had some last weekend. If I were going back this Saturday I'd have looked for you, but I'm not leaving the house this weekend sorry.

I was pretty interested in these and could cope with a little bigger, but this is just too far I think...

Thanks for the feedback guys, @Seeaich I agree the darker side is too dark, it's the effect I go for on these, but I've looked at it doing a quicker way and it's too dark in this instance.

I want to make these for not just me but all of us, it's great to get such good feedback thanks guys :)

I'm still after TR Galvatron and Rumble myself, hoping they won't be gone from all outlets by the end of this month!

Hrm. Getting antsy waiting for TR wave 3 to hit. Want Hot Rod so I can have a decent Rodimus to glare at Death's Head and Galvatron.

*Phew* IMBAP but at least I'm an honest one and, honestly, the Scorpy is the only one where the darker shift seemed jarring. Top work, jame5y!

Whilst I await the printers figuring out the sticker cutting thing besides reprolabelling Mini-cons and snagging Astrotrain I've also kept my idle hands busy by practicing the old blind bag feel-up.
As the Wave 3 Star Wars Micro Machines are just 97p at Tesco (a whole thre'pence cheaper than Smyths! I'm in Yorkshire Heaven!) I gave it a go and managed to feel up a couple more FO Troop Carriers, with the intent of making a ship/drone launch bay in Max's forearm. I quite fancy the idea of a trio of hexagonal launch tubes plus some other tech detailing, does anyone have any ideas for material fodder for such a construction?

Rhinos on top of Bumblebee gave me flashbacks to an early Robot Chicken sketch.

Any of the Pube/London crowd been thinking abut getting TR fort Max from tesco? They're doing 3 for 2 on all toys tomorrow, which means that you can get 3 FM for £67 each. Anyone interested in going in on it with me?

@Maz great article, I wouldn't class myself as a collector, there is no rhyme or reason to the transformers I own, I just get ones I like or that have a sense of nostalgia for.

I just like transformers. There are guys I admire here for their dedication in being focused on building an enviable collection, I just don't have the time/money/insight in being a part of that, but I love seeing people here so happy with what they are blessed with

Wholeheartedly agree Maz, I "collected" transformers as a kid, without a doubt; often seeking out specific toys to complete teams or sub lines - often saving up my paper round money to afford them and as you say, asking for the less accessible, more expensive figures at Birthday or Xmas. Naturally, there were times I bowed to peer pressure and wanted the new cool toy or transformer - like most kids would do but the only reason I didn't collect all the figures I wanted was not down to a non-collector ethic (because that definitely existed) but due to a lack of available funds - and had the money been there I would have had all the dinobots or all the aerialbots etc... the only differences between me now and me back then is disposable income and how I interact with the toys. I still get giddy when I get a new figure!
