Indeed. Let's not forget that Whirl has been set up as Bludgeon's main rival at one point, so if Bludgeon becomes a regular, Whirl should probably be brought in. Unless he's been replaced by Blastwave.
yea that sounds right. It's not as easy for me to recall with no story attached to it yet. I assumed, especially without names, they were one in the same. Good spot ; ) I was right about the original Energon Airelbots name I believe, Stormjet?
He doesn't have to be exactly like his MTMTE version. They could just leave out his more violent and sociopathic nature and just make him more like an over the top prankster that drives both friend and enemy crazy and just be a troll from time to time which is also a part of the IDW comic so it's not that big of a change. Like how the Joker in the DCAU is not as violent and scary as he was in the comics though there were exceptions but still retained a lot of his classic traits. Also having someone like him would bring it a lot of variety to the Autobot cast since it'll show that not every Autobot is going to follow the typical formula in terms of archetype and it'll bring in conflict both minor and major as a result.
My post was only partially serious While I do think that altering whirls character to fit RiD would be bad And leaving whirl fully MTMTE would be dangerous like with The Joker and Deadpool, it can be done in a way that works. I wouldn't mind seeing a more kid-friendly whirl that still embodies what it means to be 'whirl' show up on TV sometime. Anyway. Back to the toys that this thread is meant to be about. Every time I look at the toys of Blurr I for some reason think of those old pre-animated transformers heroes prototypes of Rodimus and Rhinox. (Particularly Rodimus) kinda makes me want an aligned Roddy from the warrior Blurr
It was more of a bonfire, burning up that trashheap of Prime and celebrating boldness and originality But i dont see what that has to do with the toyline.
Starscream is awfully pretty. I saw his power surge yesterday. If I didnt already own one I'd snatch him in a heartbeat. I like Blastwave a lot too. As it is, I'm waiting on Tricerashot.
Interesting. Thanks man. You think you know all about Transformers since started in 15 but then . . .
Autovolt, thank you! I have always read Whirl with the voice Brian Drummond did for Energon Shockblast.
Ehhhh, I think John Dimaggio would make a pretty good Whirl. Especially after hearing his Joker in "Batman: Under the Red Hood"
