Sorry for another silly question, but some stores are asking extra money for the deposit, but what does 'deposit' mean and how does it work?

Magnus is great, but I have to say, MP-10 is getting a reissue in February, and is cheaper than Megatron. In fact all of the figures you've listed are more or less the same price, give or take about $20.

Pay a little now to reserve your figure, pay the rest when he comes in. It's kinda like a down payment for a car.

Good to know that MP-10 is getting a reissue. That saves some tough decision making.

My MP-17 arrived the on Friday. It's nice. I suppose.

Standing it with the rest of my small collection my MP's (9 in total), it feels like I have a real cartoon line up. I quickly checked out the prices for Inferno and Grapple, adding on the delivery cost and import tax and to be honest, I'm just stunned. I'll be paying damn near 220 euros for a piece of plastic and metal.

Only I'm not. This hobby is just getting too expensive for me - and it really doesn't bring anything other than some sort of wish fulfilment. If I'm honest with myself, I'm only making up for the fact that as a kid we were dirt poor and I counted myself extremely lucky to have TWO Transformers (which my mother trashed to "teach me a lesson" after I spilt some coffee). I used to spend hours looking at the folded catalog that came with the toys, knowing there was no way I'd receive any more than I had.

It feels like I've been stuck as that 8 year old kid for the last 32 years - trying to make up for the things I didn't have.

I'm not saying that this is a bad hobby to have or that there is anything wrong with collecting TF's, especially Masterpiece. I just can't justify the cost any more(because they cost a shit tonne here in the EU). I'm not really getting anything out of collecting them - maybe I'm just becoming a bit of a curmudgeon in my old age.

You're not alone. It's really easy to get a completionist mentally. Around the release of MP-23 I had collected all the post MP-10 MPs. Lately I realised that assembling a full cast isn't really necessary for me. One of the factors of that was cost, no doubt about it. Sold a load of MPs, down to a core cast, and I'm a lot happier. Can really enjoy the MPs that I have. Also it helps that I can come into a thread like this and enjoy the full collections vicariously!

But really, I know the feeling of trying to make up for something. In a way that's what this line is, and it's easy to get carried away and forget that they're just awesome transforming toy robots. They aren't going to fill any deep voids you may have, but as long as they can still make you smile it's all good :thumb

There's something about real sunshine and the outdoors that really brings pics to life. Great setting too; hope you don't have too much hassle getting all those figs out on location like that! :thumb

My contribution for the day... If the G1 toon could recycle animation I don't see why I can't ;)

    So good, OTL!

And with that transformation sequence, you've now animated about 85% of all the G1 epsisodes ;)

Hey guys, even tho I like MP Megatron 2.0 a lot, there are two things worting the hell out of me,namely his price of $230,the other is his scrawny neck,by pics of him he has no neck at all.I just wish Takara would go back and give him more neck.Other than those two nitpicks I think Megs 2.0 is one of the top figures we have gotten/are getting.I am hoping with him being so high someone like TCP or BBTS will eventually run a sale on him for say $180,but I am not holding my breath.

Thank you OTL. I love how you added the little bounce once Prime has fully transformed.

How about Ironhide transforming while driving to the shuttle on Moonbase 1 which ultimately turned out to be Moonbase 2 when Bumblebee and Spike activated the self-destruct sequence?

Wow, you're lucky to have such great natural backdrops right outside your door! Especially appropriate for BW figs :thumb
    Lol :lol
Yeah I'd like to do more with Ironhide/Ratchet but I'm hanging back for a bit to see how the hip panel mod kit and/or KO version with extra front bumper transformation pans out :)

I can totally see that. I try to pretend that the hip panels aren't there but they are. Not trying to bring all that up again though. I actually forgot about the hip kits until you've mentioned it.

One more to go, although I would love a Nova Storm, Nacelle, Bitstream, and any others they might want to make!
