Found the 1/4000 scale Revell Star Destroyer model at work Friday afternoon and loved the size. I decided the molded plastic was a good color, but not quite perfect. Added a light black wash and repainted the "recessed" areas a flat grey.

I also decided to create a 1/4000-ish scale Millennium Falcon accessory. Just waiting on an order from shapeways for a pair of Corellian ships that should be just a little larger than the appropriate scale.

Thanks Stormvapor. By far the smallest custom I've ever worked on.

I was on the fence about this kit but now I'm definitely going to pick it up. Nice job.

Lol. Glad I could help you make a decision either way.

To be honest, I love the model, but Revell missed a couple of things when they designed it. They should've included 2 different bridge pieces for the "tower" between the shield globes. (the one that is with the model, and the taller version from Vader's Star Destroyer in ANH) The other thing they missed, the centerline (that divides the top and bottom halves) should have been at least 3 times thicker. I was surprised how thin they made it.

Finally got my order of Corellian ships in from Shapeways this afternoon and went straight to work. I love how well they size up to Revell's 1/4000 scale SD.
