Yeah, the last couple MPs from HLJ have been minimal cost savings for me. That said, I'd also prefer to order from a place that didn't molest the figure and the packaging as long it sails through customs in robot mode.

Those are fair points. Still the trailer is also fully painted and Takara MP10 is painted (honestly not sure to what extent since I have the Hasbro one...but I believe he was fully painted?) and has chrome parts. My guess is Megatron will be fully painted (though that remains to be seen) except for the gun parts, have some minimal diecast like Shockwave, and won't have any chrome or extra paint detailing... I guess he does have a fair number of accessories, though funny enough they are pretty much exactly the same ones as Apollyon...even a couple less. At most I would pay no more than the $165 that Apollyon was shipped, which is about what I expect him to be from japan unshipped. You're right though. I am lukewarm on him to begin with so the price is probably a bigger turn off to me than some others here.

I'm kind of glad I went for Mightron now, at the time I had thought I made a big mistake given the leaked photo of mp-36 and for a brief moment I sorely regretted my Mightron purchase. Now. Not so much. I mean, I enjoy this hobby as much of the next guy but it's times like these that I have to give pause and need to think about it rationally. Not sure I can continue to justify official purchases at these price points.

We'll see what HLJ sells it for but kriest almighty, that is just too damn much.
Is this the lights and sounds stuff because that means nothing to me. I really hope they stop putting electronics in Masterpieces cause it just jacks up the price for no good reason.

 

Pre-ordered. One can always hope it'll get re-evaluated by the US sites once the actual JP MSRP is known, but if not - well, I can bypass a couple times of eating out for lunch. That'll save me $25-30.

However this is what 100% toon accuracy looks like...

You all begged for it (I myself prefer about 80~90% toon accuracy - that last 10~20% should be turning the shitty animation into "masterpieces") and now you're all getting a little weakling - who looks less intimidating than Tiny-Toes-LilacWave. Now MP-11 has two people he can push and shove around!

If the HLJ price is decent, I may still get this guy and keep him boxed and sell him later for a plausible profit.

Face sculpt is decent tho. Just not sure Weenie Hut Jr's face is worth $230.00 (or even $200.00).
