So, it's been a while since I've posted anything and even longer since I was last doing so in Radicons. Buuuut I've kept busy in the long meantime building one or two Lego TFs. Nowhere near as skillful a task as proper customisation but I'm quite pleased with how far I've been able to refine my models. All of them are at more or less minifigure scale, which is quite tricky for the cars, believe me. Hence the, uh, gappy nature of some of the bots and cons. Anyhow . . . and with mottos occasionally adjusted for reasons of taste . . . a handful of Mircomasters and a couple of original characters . . . more or less . . .
Its stuff like these that makes me wish someone didnt lost my LEgo sets. xD Man, those are awesome!! More, more!!!
Nice to see a fellow MOCer on the boards. Keep up the good work. Clearly you need to take a trip over to MOCpages...
Love the cannon/car Duocon. Is Meanstreak and his Target master based on the cartoon characters Dick Dastardly and Muttley?
Wow these are amazing! Love the simple yet unique faces. Countdown and Ironworks are definitely my favorites because they have space for minifigs Totally what happens to me when I build. Except for once (then being the idiot I am dropped it).
Thanks for all the kind comments, folks! It takes a *lot* of iteration and rebuilding, trust me, To which the only answer is, of course, hehhhehhhehhhehhhehhhehehhh! Well Countdown does. Ironworks is a total cheat and only looks like he does - his chest ends up too high in the cab to allow any figure placement. Ah, Crash-arrgh! moments. I know them well! Two more - would have been more but my camera's battery died and I forgot to take a shot of Whisper's back (yep, I have the full complement of Air Strikes to come): Stormcloud Punch/Counterpunch - about whom I should justify myself: there was no way at this scale to give him/them wheels and the two robot modes, unfortunately, so I went with a hover car. I've done the same thing with Siren for different reasons. The problem with wheels in Lego (at this scale) is that the attachment points take up so much room, usually at least a brick's width - a lot when your'e working at six-wide. Bit of a swiz, I know, but there it is unfortunately. Enjoy!
Glad you're all enjoying the models! Here are some more: Rumble and Enemy (and Frenzy, to be photographed) are built mainly for their robot modes, I have to admit. So the minitank modes are . . . dubious to say the least!
