I think the line will be better than the Age of Extinction line. Doesn't seem like there will be better paint, but mold wise that Optimus looks to be an improvement. With Bumblebee and Barricade appearing to have some car parts, it should be easier for Hasbro to make decent toys of a few of the robots.

I don't collect the movie toys as much but one thing I would like to see, when it comes to the main line or Generations movie line, is at the very least all in-movie characters get a toy release before releasing non-show characters. I can forgive Slog, Scorn, and Snarl from AoE (at least they were new molds) but I would have rather seen Hasbro release the Stinger BB repaint instead of that non-movie "Hot Shot" Crosshairs repaint.

I predict some that there will be Bumblebee toys shelf-warming. Oh wait, that's if any brick and mortar starts stocking Transformers by that point. :lol  I kid I kid. But seriously though.

I'm hoping for a bunch of Legends class toys with period
    alt modes.

Hope and expect are two completely different things.
I HOPE that the line produces good figures, sees a return of Cyberverse, and gives us quality screen-accurate figures.
I EXPECT it to bomb again with fans.

I'd buy $6 Cyberverse figures. At $10+ for figures, though, I didn't bother with most of it.

Lots of shelf warming as usual. hope they don't do too many kiddie versions like last time. Not enough shelf space for it anymore.

I'm hoping for some of the cleverness they've applied to CW and TR.

Even good engineering and a coherent gimmick concept can only get you so far.

The entire "Knight" aesthetic severely limits the options for Hasbro; it basically results into the bad kind of shell-forming for each and every
    character with a "Knight" styling.
The other AoE issue was character line up. Practically nil true Decepticons, so it really depends on TLK's script if we're going to see a nice and broad line up or not.

Really..... I think the people who are now bemoaning Titans Return for being all-Headmasters, will feel TR is still a god-send compared to the TLK stuff.

I hope they are good as I do like the movie lines but I expect the same kind of cheap ass overpriced figures we are getting now...that Optimus prototype doesn't look bad though....I hope it's painted better I don't have time to customize this entire line

Well, i expect a few things.

-A simplified set of figure to go with the main line that will annoy fans who were spoiled by the Revenge of the fallen line.

-Repaints of random generations/R.I.D/ Combiner Wars toys as part of an exclusive pack or two.

-Minicon size class might make a comeback in Movie form, might likely come with hidden 5mm minicon ports, holes and or weapon modes for larger figures, might likely be two figure "VS" packs instead of the traditional three-pack form. Squeeks, Wheelie and Brains might likely be in said "minicon" class.

-We get new deluxes molds and/or retool deluxe molds for Bumblebee, Drift. Barricade, Hound and Hotrod might likely get a Deluxe figure.

-Walmart might likely cash in with the return of Barricade with making a Bumblebee VS Barricade battle pack.

-Scout/Basic Class might not make a return, but Cyberverse/Legends might likely become a thing again.

-And yes, there might be a chance we might get lots of bumblebee repaints. Cuz they need more yellow toys or something.

This right here will be the method they use to get out the Diaclone paint jobs on CHUG figs I've been begging for. Probably even blue Bluestreak from the Uni Prowl mold coupled with a movie toy I don't want, just to make my life miserable.

I expect stores to underorder a bit compared to last movie. Or at least I hope...

After the last film I expect the standard deluxe class figures to be on pegs with three similar quick change lines with no clear difference in packaging. That's as far as I got with AOE toys.

My only issue with the movie toys is the actual movie characters they're based on.

I prefer the more "distinctive" G1 style TFs.

But that aside, I hope they make toys that are movie accurate and have nice Alt and Robot modes.

Yeah, i think considering that the previous movie line's focus on both the Dinobots AND Bumblebee's rivalry evil doppelganger, Stinger. The only "Retro" toys we got were some unexpected Beast Wars Repaints and a Redeco of Energon Cruellock, which were bundled with cyberverse/legends figures to make up the lack of a said Cyberverse/Legends subline. Shoulda had picked those up when i had the chance considering they were cheap reissues of interesting toys overall.

I hope the movie line could bring more clever "Retro Mold" redecos too, especially with the knight's theme, they might sneak in A Redeco of Generations Warpath, Movie 1 Longarm or CW Trailbreaker with Hoist's pretool head, UW Starscream & a Ramjet redeco of UW Thrust to recreate a "Homage" pack to "A Decepticon Raider on King Arthur's Court".

Actually, ANY Good Retro homage using Old Generations/Classics/Unicron Trilogy/ETC.

Though, it might be likely they will use those older molds as a way to redeco it into a thing that is in the movie.
