Yeah. You'd pretty much have to either cut off the tiny guys head or drill the big guys body

 

I dont see why drilling would be required? Most takatomybro-formers have a balljoint neck, and the head goes on top.. if you just have a generic neck piece that goes over a cut off heck joint you have a universal socket modeled after the new headmaster series.. should be an easy render once the new toys are out!!

 

Most titan-headmasters I've seen have connected knees making independent leg movements impossible! Can they be cut? would new thighs need to be rendered\printed? How about elbowed arms? Suppose they would need to be duplicates of each figure..

 

You still might need two-three sizes to cover variations in different figures. Are you suggesting like a little neck thing, say a square shape that head ball joint hole underneath, and the head socket piece on top?

I imagine if it was done thin enough (yet thick enough not to break) and then sold in say a set of 3 sizes it could cover a lot of different figure lines.

I imagine it like a scarf. The head plugs into the scarf, the scarf plugs into the body. But you could still end up with a lot of weird looking necks on toys. It would be simpler to do a specific dedicated piece for each line of toys that use headmasters, (Hasbro, 3P etc) rather than some universal thing which would run into various issues.

If you've ever traveled internationally you might have seen those adapter plugs for foreign countries for electrical devices, so that you don't have to cut the end of power cord off and affix a new plug, you just use the adapter/voltage converter.
I think it's a good idea, same sort of principle, you don't want to be drilling holes in toys needlessly if you have a headmaster adapter plug.

 

Another I'd still like to see done...fembots & femcons deserve a little more love by Shapeways...quite a few femmes that use similar or exact molds that already exist...needing mostly a new noggin and slight customization...

 

I'd like to see some love for Beast Wars Uprising and the Botcon 2016 figures. It has to be possible to make better heads for Ravage and Tigatron. Magnaboss and (Tri)Predacus need their customary weapons. Magnaboss, Silverbolt, Ironhide, and Prowl need new heads (SteamShield's Getaway head for the Prowl mode is a serendipitous stand in, however!). New HFGs for both combiners couldn't hurt.

Magnaboss' head could also be handled a few different ways. Other than an entirely new head, someone could make a new front half and/or antennae/horns.

Uprising's version of Bighorn is based on Beast Hunters Bulkhead, but needs a new head.

 

There is potential in BWU...

 

Moonracer, G1 Arcee, Cybertron Override and possibly Elita One headmasters (or just regular heads) for Titan Returns Blurr.

 

I bet someone can make a better BW Silverbolt/BWII Skywarp head than this:

 

I'd like this...with another Moonracer head for TR Wheelie...

 

New, articulated hind legs for Skullsmasher's (Skullcruncher's) crocodile mode so that he can stand up on all 4 legs instead of lying on his belly.

 

How about a kit to turn skullsmasher into Horribull? Longer read beast legs and a new beast mode head?

 

I got something. Upgrade kits for Defensor/Victorion. And a custom weapon for Optimus Maximus.

Hot Spot/Pyra Magna: Forearm mounted blasters seen in this image. A pair of twin chest plates that connect through Groove's mounting point and tabs onto the torso's ladder. This will recreate this rendition of Victorion's chest and can be used for Defensor.

Skyburst/Stormclash: Side vents that plug into their hands to better conceal them in arm or helicopter mode.

Groove/Rust Dust: Cannon that attaches to rear end of motorcycle form and peg.

Optimus Maximus: Axe weapon combined from several smaller weapons given to each member.

I just thought of this: Shapeways Targetmasters. Not one like in Titans Return but like the ones Generations Scoop comes with. Imagine a mini T-rex that turns into a blaster with a tail becomes the gun's CHAINSAW blade. It's like taking the Gear of War chainsaw rifle and then making it turn into a mini T-rex.

 

I may be late to the party but I've has a few ideas. I haven't found anything on shape ways but I may have missed them.

New leg hinges so that menasor with perfect effects upgrade can pose better, maybe scale it better with others?

 

just a quick cross-post from the TR ideas thread:

 

A pair of CW male to male 5mm post connetor and a female 5mm facing up so you can plug guns into Cyclonus/Superion's shoulder. Maybe a little hollow or something because I know theres something similar out there, but $9 for just one is a killer.

The other part is a male CW to female 5mm with a separete 5mm male to Titan Master socket male. Basically so you could use a TR figue as a leg.

If the price could be under 20, that would be amazing. Highly unlikely, but amazing.

 

A new tail end for alpha bravo mode that turns it into a Cybertronian bullet train. Arms could be turned into gravlifts in alt mode or something.
