Probably. Do you have a pic of the piece you're referring to?

I can't say for sure, unfortunately. I'll say that either way it looked better in person than it did in the picture above.

I'm taking back my comment about his legs. When I was looking at the original grey prototype, I thought the fender is what I now know is the rear tire. So with that, I think it looks great but I'd like one that collapse the super cool wide alt mode tires and fenders into the leg in bot mode as the toon did. I'd also like to see the size in alt mode next to MP carbots before I decide. Maketoys S3 characters are large so I'm wondering how it looked to you as compared to MP prowl.

It almost looks like those pieces are mistransformed and should be higher up. Daimchoc made the comment that stuff was loose on the prototype so it's possible they do and won't stay in place.

If I have to deal with that to finally get a Jazz, I'll live with it.

I can't see Takara doing much better than this. If the prototype is already this clean and polished, the final figure should be jaw-dropping.

Looks like they fold up to form the bumper, but due to looseness or forgetting a step they are in a downward position.

No MT product will ever, ever, have parts that are that flimsy and shitty. It would be an insult to their company name to allow such an egregious lack of quality control. This isn't Xtransbots or TFC. For an MT product it would be completely and utterly unacceptable.

So yes prototype, loose parts, will look right when we get a new test shot version with its tolerances closer to their ideal state.

Ha ha ha. MT Cupola would like a word with you... but unfortunately he can't walk over here because his ankles are too floppy and bits keep falling off his feet.
(Disclaimer I don't actually own Cupola and cannot comment on the figures quality, I'm merely responding to excessively positive hyperbole with suitably negative hyperbole;) )
No company is perfect, they all make mistakes and have QC issues. What separates the men from the boys is how they deal with their mistakes. MT, like FT (and sometimes XTB), provides replacement parts when they f*** up. But they do still f*** up. They all do.

Did I say they didn't? no. Did I say they were perfect? no. Not sure why you thought I did. -_-

Downbeat's looking downright awesome and I'll certainly be adding him to my MP shelf in 2017. But his helmet is slightly... what's the word?... fat!?

Yeah, that would be my only *minor* gripe about this figure, the bottom half of the helmet almost looks like it's 'extruded', should maybe taper inwards towards the front and back a little? And the brow seems a bit too square and heavy.
