The arms do not require removal for Transformation. It is neither in the instructions, nor common practice.

I'll just wait another couple of months before I make my decision on whether I want these or not. Which I will probably break down and get Super Ginrai and God Bomber just for display purposes. :lol

On some figures, yes. Like Super Ginrai, and Star Convoy. They're good examples.

However, Kayaba often uses partsforming as a cheat. That's what I'm complaining about. I want God Ginrai because Godbomber's partsforming is because he's a set of armour, so I can get around it, and everything else doesn't involve partsforming at all, so its fine.

    But the others, I'm skeptical.

Well you shouldn’t because these are cheaply made model-kit like toys with a strip of gum, and their whole deal is that they’re cheap enough and have candy so they can be placed in the small candy area in front of the register so that children can annoy their parents and break their will just before they’re able to leave the store.

Emphasis is on "Cheap". If they include too many hinges and stuff they’re already blowing the budget. Even if these particular versions are kinda collectors-focused with some minimal paint-apps, they still won’t retool the molds just for that.

These are made for people who want cheap Transformers and don’t mind the partsforming, so criticizing them for being cheap and thus requiring partsforming makes no sense.

Cheap's not an excuse when they did Star Convoy and Super Ginrai without partsforming. I'm not saying they need super articulation or detail. I'm just asking for a proper transformation.

But of course, the retool thing I get, hence I won't buy the others.

Kabaya or Bandai Minipla are different than mainstream.
Kabaya's Fortress Max is great (size).
I would focus on joints and stabilization. Those minipla plastic's quality is not that great (when you drop from the table, you will know.) All plastics do suffer stress marks easily(the new minipla Fortress have suffer the same fate). A drop test could potentially break/bend the pegs.
You will be surprise at zyuohger minipla and the final ultimate combo. There will be unused parts but you get the more parts for the final combo only.

I collected kayaba minipla since Metroplex, Trypticon, Headmaster series(including the Fortmax, Zarak, Master Force(series), Victory series[(combiners(especially Leo Kaiser) (multiforce(also Gaia force.)] I also collected Sentai minipla, Brave minipla, mugenbine.
[That are also capsule transformable version of Mini Defensor (set of 6 capsule), Menasor (set of 6 capsule).]

It\'s amazing how Kabaya can make cheapo plastic kits of Ginrai that are more authentic and have better feet than the TR/upcoming Legends versions of the same figure...

Big Powered and Victory Saber are tempting, since I don't have any toys of them.

Pretty awesome for gum kits. If they paint the faces, then these might be a pick up.

I wouldn't exactly say better considering its still the same as the solid feet the g1 had and they really don't look good when combined with godbomber considering how oversized the feet are because of it. Also not everyone thinks the feet are that bad. Also its just nitpick its not that big of deal...

These look awesome, especially for being "candy toys"! They're better than any fast-food premiums at any rate. It'd be neat if the KO companies would up-size these to Deluxe or Voyager size and add some paint and maybe even ratcheted joints.

Many of these reimagined Kabaya G1-toy designs have added articulation, built-in weapon storage, and cartoon-accurate face/head-sculpts, appreciably improving upon their G1 predecessors. I like 'em. :thumbs2:

You've just described the original G1 toys they were based on...

I want all of these. I don\'t think I have all the pieces to my Big Powered anymore.

I have already preordered a box from HLJ. I built the reissue of Fortress Maximus last month, and he is fantastic. Built very quickly and easily, and a whole lot of fun as well. Cannot wait to get my hands on these kits.

Well, I meant basically that I'd like G1 re-issues of these figures with the enhanced details, features, & articulation of the Kabaya kits. If they were merely upsized from their tiny Kabaya proportions to something like Deluxe all the better.
