Triggerhappy is a masterpiece. It looks great in either form and looks to have an interesting transformation. I can't get that toy quick enough.

Getaway doesn't look that good, but I may still get it and repurpose it.

Both look great, but the hollow forearms on all these figures really bother me. Considering how older figures managed it so much better. /oldmanrant

How the heck does Getaway, the repaint, look more boring and have less paint than Chromedome? The robot mode is okay, but the car mode is atrocious. Making a really cool looking car look boring as heck.

    Triggerhappy's is a must, though.

seeing all this hate for getaway's figure makes me kinda happy....not too long ago the idea popped in my head that this figure is perfectly generic enough and with all the options coming with titan masters he'd make a pretty good autotrooper.....i hope enough pass on him so i can get three or four once they release someone's gotta fight my vehicons...might as well be the autotroopers!

Yep I think I'll soak up a few unwanted Getaways and repurpose them with TM Heads.

    Triggerhappy looks the tits.

I'm gonna buy Getaway and pose his disembodied head next to my Generations Tailgate. Tailgate's using him as a soccer ball.

Loving both of them. I'm not sure if I'm more excited for Getaway or Triggerhappy!
I just hope we get some sort of add on that gives Getaway those damn crazy shoulder pad things.

Goddamn those look absolutely amazing. Getaway is just perfect and Triggerhappy having the ability for gun hands in addition to the gorgeous jet mode is a buy-on-sight.

This might sound a bit crazy but considering how Triggerhappy is designed and how Hasbro has been retooling figures lately, I think some of its parts could be used for a new Armada Demolishor. His shoulder cannons are already pretty similar and the guns on his arms can be replaced with Demolishor's traditional finger guns.

+1. Really wouldn't take that much effort either: make the inner arms/fists navy a la the G1, and some additional details to the car (Reprolabels to the rescue?) and boom! Some instant colour to break up the monotony.

I think Getaway will shelfwarm a bit, too. For those that love him, great, but he's not a "never heard of him, but he looks dope so I'll grab him" kind of figure. I'm kind of expecting to see either (a) a Reprolabels set like the CW Smolder or Exhaust ones to repurpose him and/or (b) many fans finding the perfect Titanmaster replacement head to make him someone else

So far, I have passed on all the TR deluxes. Overall, I think that the line is great and I like the headmaster gimmick. But something about each deluxe figure in Wave 1 and 2 held me back from pulling the purchase trigger. Until now. Triggerhappy and Twinferno are both absolutely perfect to me and will be my first (and perhaps only) deluxe purchases from TR. Triggerhappy is all kinds of awesome. Looks great in both modes, weapons store unobtrusively in both modes and FU@K!N6 GUN HANDS FTW!!! I hope this guy gets his hands on Twinferno soon as I am really looking forward to seeing some in hand pics of him.

Is it an IDW thing? What does Getaway look like in IDW? I can't remember seeing him there...

Because there is nothing about this figure that looks the slightest bit Getaway to me. It captures pretty much nothing of the essence of the original character or toy, other than there being some white on the figure. It almost might as well be a name-slap.

Unless the IDW character looks like that. In which case, good on them.

    This is MTMTE Getaway.

I like the figure because it looks nice. It's got a nice Getaway headsculpt and maybe doesn't properly update the original design for a lot of people, but I think it carries the spirit of the design quite nicely.

Eh, to me, the figure looks like nothing. At the very least, Getaway needs some version of the iconic shoulders. It's the first thing anyone thinks of when they think of the character (assuming they know and think of the character in the first place). And the vehicle mode is so far away from anything of Getaway's essence. I mean, someone can like both muscle cars and supercars, but no way are the two things interchangeable.

I would much much much sooner accept the IDW design above than this toy, as a representation that attempts to capture the character's essence. The IDW design tries.

But again, we'll see what Takara does. I can't see them doing a straight repaint of this as Lightfoot. I'd sooner imagine them dropping the entire thing and releasing nothing, than try to pass this figure off as-is as Lightfoot.
