Ah very good. Do they put the value on just out of curiosity?

As mentioned, with PSX you pay up front.

IIRC they do put the price on the shipping label. But they seem to be pretty approachable so you should contact their customer service directly if you have any questions regarding shipping.

I seem to recall Ravage having a value on the shipping label. As suggested you might contact them and ask.

Urrrrgh must have this now why doesn't TFSource have it yet why why...

Although, I have to admit that I was going to pay with it using some money I made freelancing, and the client hasn't Paypal'd me that money either, so maybe I shouldn't be in such a hurry...

Yea, he's pretty thorough in presentation... works great because you don't really *need* to understand what he's saying.

Know what I find odd about this figure? The tanks are absurdly simple to set up... but the jet? That literally took like, half the video to set up. As great as the figure looks, I wager most won't be switching mode often simply because that Jet mode looks painful to set up. The "base" mode looks like an afterthought...

    Still, that sculpt is incredible.

It really depends, IMHO. Combiners get a pass for bits like hands/feet/head usually... but I do appreciate attempts like Leozack G1 where only the head is added on, or TFC's Hercules where there was basically *zero* partsforming outside the hands. Ideally, if the extra bits tend to have storage or alternate forms that are still functional, that's cool.

Other times, if the extra bits like Tank Turrets and Wings can be detatched to form extra guns, shields, whatever, those are actually *functional* partsforming that are just fine... I think.

Partsforming tends to be a problem when basically the parts might as well be a lego set... tons of bits that have to be re-oriented/attached all over the place.

This Overlord is probably OK because the Duocon gimmick was two distinct vehicles fuse into one big bot... and again, the Shield and Turret form a Shield and Gun for the bot.

I love MMC sculpts. I know I shouldn't buy their Whirl & Roadbuster, but I'm having a hard time saying no to the sculpts! They're so pretty!

^ If I could afford it, I would get their repaints/retools in Strika and Obsidian. I'm fine with Hasbro's Whirl and Roadbuster (though maybe I'd replace him with Fansproject's take).

If you wanted it sooner rather than later, TFSource typically isn't your best bet. As far as MMC stuff goes, PSX is going to get it first.

MMC never replied to my post on Facebook about the metal wire+hook/harpoon.

I reeeeally hope this isn't a PSX exclusive ... I like ordering there from time to time, but this one is going to be expensive.

Let's see if I can scrape some money together ._.

Yeah, I mean whether or not it really is the PSX "exclusive" or not, I'm just it's not Giga and Mega.

    Are they usually responsive?

I had preordered with Kapow toys. Don't think it was any cheaper. Certainly not if psx makes it through customs. It's a shitty move

It would have been nice to have the information early and be able to make the choice. Rather stick now with Kapow. They are a small retailer and are good to customers.

Incidently Kapow have told me that it is an exclusive. Bummer.

.... kind of :/. Used to be.

Yep. Very weird that they usually don't mention this stuff up front. It's the first exclusive I'd be upset to not have. As I'd definitely use it as a set up in my display case with Impactor.

Eh, not really, I was in it for the fig, not the harpoon thingy. That's also only good if you have Spartan, which I do not. I guess the reward is to actually have the figure before most people. I do however, wish that with pre-orders there was a discount, even if it was 5%, I think TFSource does that from time to time.

If I get a jewelry drill that could put a teeny-tiny hole into Impy's hook, I could use a bicycle brake cable, with a button or something instead of the ball bearing so it'll sit in the socket of the arm... HMMMM

then unless youre afraid its going to sell out, i too would ask why you are preordering. its not a horrible bet with MMC to sellout, but with literally any other brand, theres no need for a PO.
as far as having info early, i feel you. but they never announce it.
its just a sort of given that anything from PSX over $100 will have about a 75% chance of including an exclusive add-on (chug and non MP items seem to be a tossup) . i think the closest thing to an announcement we saw was the 'there will be something extra" type of message when they included Penguin1 in with catilla.
dont be surprised at an exclusive item included with tarn, although most orders went through PSX anyway.

edit - im told PSX may have had something buried on their facebook page about it. :)

Yup the jet portion of Carn is a hurdle to get use to, the shield is hard to tab in just right, the shoulders have many moving pieces and vague directions and the backpack is quite difficult to move up and down. Once you figure it all out though he's great.

But the tank is literally no more than fold in thighs, wedge canon in between legs, fold around shin panels, you're done. :lol

Also its been confirmed the harpoon for Spartan is in fact PSX exclusive. Ironically mine is already in my storage container, its a cool thing but for general display I have no need for it.

NO that does not mean I will sell it. But I do think people are perhaps overblowing its value, I wouldn't worry about changing your seller of choice over such a thing.

Kinda hilarious that apparently Carn just like Rex had to go through a thorough de-cassy-ing by Griffith. And that along with making sure the tolerances were perfect added to his delays.
