possibly my all time favorite version of Devy's head.

usually I would be a prude about wooden material but its just so damn great overall.

 

This is one of the sickest things I've ever seen. I can't even fathom the amount of work that had to go into this. As a huge Devy fan this is now in my top favorites of all time. Major kudos to you.

Woo hoo, so good to hear that...it was really fun working on the sculpt, I had created a smaller version over a year ago. When the 5" head project kicked off, Eddie and I reviewed a few options together and he provided direction on some details.

For the record the head isn't wood...

I was so honoured to be a small part of this...seeing the early prototypes months ago had me giddy with excitement!

 

At first I was thinking does he have a toy couch and well. Then I see dev shitting bricks, damn. He's huge, also the best pictures are the 2 I mentioned for me.

Not a fan of the head tbh.

Much to my wife's dismay, I had to leave my project out and work on it in the living areas so that I would "trip" over it. Otherwise "outta site, outta mind" would've swallowed my initial progress whole, like so many other WIPs. So often I found myself begrudgingly getting to work on it, but soon after I would start up, I would eventually get in to it.

His fave show? Well, he was watching Back To The Future when I snapped the couch pics, but I'm quite certain is fave show is Bob the Builder.  

I can't tell if he thought the head was wooden or if he was referring to my use of wood as structural material. If he thought the head was wooden, I mean, that would seriously be some crazy impressive woodworking skill. As a structural material, at this size, it's pretty much a necessity unless you're Hasbro and everything can be designed and constructed of hollow plastic.  

Looking back at the early mock up photos I sent you, I have to say, THANK YOU for patronizing me.  

 

Now that we've seen pre-color yellow, and finalized green... I want to see a digibash orange.

Oh, and hurry up with the brudicus silhouette teaser already!





I wonder if Pinocchio Transformers could be the next big thing?

I needed to get to appreciate the head sculpt, at first i thought it was too nice looking, friendly so to speak, but up close you can see the more serious gaze, i like it now!
Amazing job also on the head sculpt, the lighting is great as well, well done!! Kudos to you both, but to GI Eddie most, respect for your hardship, just pushing to the end, respect to your wife that she didnt throw you at letting him even whatch back to the future on telly whilst probably her favorite show was airing, she deserves a bunch of credit too man!

Thanks so much! Long Haul isn't a Bruder vehicle. I picked him up at Costco a couple years ago around Christmas time for, IIRC, $20! Pretty sure I saw it or something extremely similar at TRU last year, but it was pricier.

Thank you! The wife very often got my appreciation for her tolerance. She very much hates clutter and I know my project bothered her. But she only very politely, occasionally inquired how much longer it would take. She gave me no grief. How she tolerated it and kept her composure, I do not know. So yeah, you are correct. She deserved/deserves a TON of credit for her patience.

 

I had a dream last night that someone showed me up and made one even larger and it was all transformable BY REMOTE CONTROL! It was insane! Thank you, though.
