Nice work! Same thing happened to me. The screw holes on my set of feet also stripped. I was able to get it to work by stuffing some strips of paper inside it, but I think it's only a temporary fix. What diameter screw did you end up using?

Still looks good! If it bothers you, you could always paint/prime the silver head of the screw and it'd be even less visible but honestly, I didn't see in in your first pic till you pointed it out anyhow. Just too much awesome going on there to notice it. :)

If you would like to give it a go, you can get it from Shapeways at WB01 Ankle Set by Xylaant on Shapeways

I ended up using a 2mm wide bolt along with a washer on the outside and the corresponding nut on the inside. I ended up using a 20mm long bolt. It was longer than it needed to be, but there is plenty of room within the foot.

I ordered mine from Chimungmung and didn't receive those parts either. Hopefully they have some that they can ship out.

It's so frustrating - those little parts are stopping me from Putting Bruticus together right now. Grrrrrrrrrrrr...

I still have my set of Dr. K ones sitting on my desk lol. Never got around to switching them out. The originals are still intact.

hi all, im interested in purchasing warbotron from bbts, its on special at the moment. i noticed that theyve highlighted fierce attack wont come with airburst v2 torso. no ratchets when combined to bruticus as i believe. would anyone know if the torso is easy to obtain elsewhere? is this a dealbreaker? not worth getting then?
i was really looking forward to warbotron but noticing this, its a bit offputting.
    thanks

This is from a compliant I made that they only have the V1 airbursts, as I bought the set from them in a previous sale.
I'll be honest, the V1 I got was a complete pos, he couldn't hold a dynamic position and had no chance of holding the gun up.
I posted quite a lot regarding this including the issues with it, in the end I got a v2 airburst and even that wasn't perfect.
Tony at Chimungmung sorted me out a spare v2 torso in the end.
They are a great set overall but go in eyes open.

Edit, for $350 it's a good deal, and if your v1 is a real pos you could get a v2 and still be better off or the 4 other and get airburst elsewhere if they are all on sale individually.
You shouldn't have to do this of course but that how it is

image.jpeg image.jpeg Just wanted to say. The other day when I was adding gravity builder to my combiner line up, on top of my detolfs. ..... Accidentally let warbotron get bumped off the top rope

He hit the wood floor hard. With not a single broken piece. I thought for sure I was going to find some thing broken. Nope. Just a lot of scattered pieces. Love this guy and the combiners "lines" aesthetic. I'm almost about ready to give in to computron.

I had and sold on my WB-01 set that I got from the sale. I could handle the v1 Air Burst--little bit of polish let him hold poses. What I eventually couldn't take anymore was the set shedding parts when I'd mess with him, and the fact that Fierce Attack is just a terrible figure--bad tolerances, stripped screws, awkward proportions--I never pulled them apart because Onslaught was so disappointing. At 350 it's not a bad purchase, but in the end, he was awkward and unfun. If you just put 'em up and never mess with 'em he's okay I guess.

Thanks for your suggestions and opinion guys. warbotron was never supposed to be part of my collection, but after seeing a lot of generation toys devy standing along side him, i feel its definitely one i need to add to my shelf. i might have a lot at more youtube videos about these issues you guys pointed before i commit.
    thanks again

If you want a slightly more toon accurate look for the single bots, you might want to ask Megatron31 if he still has some replacement eyes and canopies left. They are great additions.

Instead of having them transformed as Bruticus, I prefer displaying all 5 individuals on my S2 Decepticon shelf. Swindle is just amazing, so much personality! Brawl, Vortex and Blast Off are pretty cool too. But I absolutely dislike Onslaught. Such a shame he turned out to be the weakest team member.

im not so familiar with onslaught, but what makes him the weakest? i thought it was clever how they made him, with the lower body as a trailer. did he have a lot of QC issues?
what i wasnt so pleased with are the hands and feet being a bit lost when not in combined mode. you kinda have to just stick him to the side and they arent attached to the body of the bots.

ahhh the two combiner sets i want in my collection. i cant see any other companies making a bruticus with a similar height scale as gravity builder. i have a feeling toyworld bruticus would be massive like their version of devastator

I thought Gravity Builder was part of a large line of combiners across many lines. Warbotron's Computron, Guardia, and Feral Rex (OS?) all fit in this size class, don't they?

Yes, the ones you mention all roughly fit in the same scale (Guardia is a bit small though). It could be argued though that with the introduction of TW's Constructor, there is now a more appropriate MP scaled combiner. Since they've announced that they will be doing a Superion and a Bruticus, coupled with the fact there are low price KO's of WB's Bruticus, it doesn't seem like it would make financial sense for another 3P company to make another WB scaled Bruticus.

Plus in their concept for Blastoff, they were going super G1 toystyle and not giving him hands? No thanks.
