There's always hope for a repaint, like devy/perseus or feral/nero rex... or hell, maybe like a value/premium combo (value being the all opaque g1 paint scheme, ofc)

 

There would absolutely be discussion/complaining, no question. But, that is because it's what people do, especially on the internet. The entire naming convention of third party figures is because, for instance, Feral Rex is not allowed to be called Predaking, or marketed as such. If a third party company isn't allowed to sell us Optimus Prime, why should we expect, color for color, Optimus Prime? Hasbro already takes serious issue with third party companies in general, but the community seems to expect shot for shot, color by color remakes of products that are being infringed upon to begin with. Everyone in this thread, and in the world, for that matter, is welcome to an opinion, but I am arguing that expectations should be tempered with reality. We are not getting, for example, Snaptrap, nor were we ever promised Snaptrap. Because Ironshell is an homage to Snaptrap, people think it should *be* Snaptrap, and that was never the case. Everyone here is biased in some way as a fan of the source material. I guarantee, though, that the people walking into your house, saying "wow, that's a really cool figure" aren't going to be saying "man, but those cannons *need* to be black."

Save yourself the $600+ and speak with your wallet. The endless "They STILL aren't changing the colors!" just bogs down the thread.

I assume the asian girl is pretty small, but even considering that, Ironshell looks huge. He appears to be much larger than any of the others, or even most third party combiner figures at all.

 

Actually, they have made changes, as I see black plastic on Snaptrap---but note that every single Seawing there is colored differently, as are all the Snaptraps. So colors not final. (We know the combiner hand's exact color, so Seawing has either black or very dark grey parts based on this pic---though Snaptrap's chest-wing bits in the other pics look even darker than Seawing to me which makes me think "very dark grey")



Also, Seawing has a very Dirge-esque cannon on his wing here:

 

I could be good with a very dark gray. Looks good enough so far to me.

 

Seawing looks good. Getting confused by all the different Ironshell faces/cannons. Is it possible they'll include *both*?

I've been very much on the fence since I first saw snap trap, but combined mode does look good I have to admit, especially with black cannons instead of those stupid transparent ones.
2 down and 2 on pre order, I may make the set after all.

 

Does the ball joint on the combiner foot seem insanely tight to anyone else? I got cyberjaw today and put him in leg mode and connected it to the combiner foot and the little grey connector clip piece broke the second I tried to move the leg cause the ball is so tight. I guess if every limb comes with one of these clips I will have an extra so it wont matter but it feels like another clip could break so easily since the ball takes a lot of force to move

Yeah, I've been checking this thread multiple times a day this weekend in hopes of seeing something regarding the reveal. Guess they were just teasing us.
