The joys of having a Lego Store by my college... snagged a first order battle pack and the Revan minifig. The TIE Striker looks tempting, but not on my priorities. Krennic's shuttle might be though...
I picked up the mini Resistance X-Wing to get my Revan about 12:10. Also got the annoying 'problem, call customer support' issue. But I got my shipping notice. Stopped by TRU and got 2 of the Imperial Officer exclusive they got.
What worked for me in the end is using Paypal to checkout. Still got the customer support message but the payment went through Paypal already. I tried a couple times just paying by credit card direct on their site and I have no confirmation for those transactions.
Yup, just got my notice too! Gonna just give away the keychain to a lucky eBay buyer as a freebie and look at it as $5 for the Revan, which I'm cool with.
Alright. Well I guess I'll swing by Walmart when I get off work and pick up a Deathtrooper or K2-SO. Hopefully it isn't like last years FF were the sold out of everything.
Learned about Revan far too late today to get him.. Should start keeping tabs on this thread more. And hopefully when he does become available again somebody posts about it heh.
I got lucky and Haloid mentioned it in the main Star Wars thread right before Force Friday -- had no idea otherwise. I only buy minifigures so I just keep tabs on the upcoming blind bags. Super pumped to get him though.
Saw Jang's review of the TIE Striker. Not sure why I'm not feeling this. I need to see it in action on the big screen first. Hell, even the (Patrick) U-wing design is meh. Still, I got my Rogue One Squad complete, and the ship that will transport them... to their demise. One-off Star Wars films... love it.
The TIE striker looks like some sort of weird, over-engineered expensive atmospheric version of a regular TIE. Like, a company was asked to or said they could do something that's really out of their depth just to keep an exclusive contract and ended up with this. I don't mean this as criticism, I actually like this vibe.
LEGO shipped my Revan and keychain via FedEx using the free shipping option... that seems like a real waste of money on their end Not even SmartPost or whatever, straight up FedEx.
Dang, I wish I had known about Revan. Hopefully he'll be available again someday. Though if not ah well! Figures he'd come up the one weekend I wasn't keeping up on news.
Holy cow, didn't even know a bout this Darth Revan promo. Googled it and saw there was a reddit thread dedicated to the awesomeness... The end all Darth Revan / Force Friday Minifig post. • /r/lego Hilariously similar to Hasbrotoyshop SDCC disappointment threads and a throwback to the FansProject Shadow Scyther launch. It's always fun to see so many mature adults revert to entitled spoiled brats.
It's the same Revan minifig from a May the 5th promo from a few years ago, shouldn't be to hard to get via Bricklink.
