Anyway, good for PS4 Plus owners. A bit odd considering it's not terribly old, but still interesting.

 

With the recent announcement of the $10 price hike, they're gonna need to make it look like it's worth it for Plus.

But it pales in comparison to WFC. I'll likely play through the campaign once since I doubt it's worth the hard drive space beyond that(button mashers rarely are).

 

Nice. Glad more people will get to play it. I nearly 100%-ed it. It won't appeal to everyone, the environments are repetitive, and it's not a third person shooter like WFC/FoC. But if you enjoy Platinum's other games, you'll probably enjoy this too. Basically Bayonetta in a Transformers skin, with a bit more simplicity, and tons and tons of loot drops. Fun to grind and combo your way through once you master the timing and so forth.

 

Its a diffrent style of gameplay if your expect more gears of war transformers prepared to be disapointed, it your ready for cell shaded transformers fast action like devil may cry then your going to be very happy.

the truth is if more of us had backed wfc and espelly foc and the 4th movie game maybe we would of seen that style keep going, but we didnt we complained about the price and didnt back it so we lost it, harsh as that sounds its ture, this game is butifull its fun and its fast its got challange modes and alot of other fun things but at the end of it all you eather like the art style and gameplay or you dont, dont rain on anyone else parade

I almost bought Devastation recently because it has got quite cheap recently. I still would, but... now I don't have to, which is awesome. I'm glad PlayStation Plus is finally getting a newer game to make it actually worth a damn, but aside from Resident Evil and debatably the otome VN (ugh), the rest of the games aren't worth jack (seriously, they're on deep discount as-is, not that two out of three are worth much to begin with anyway).

It should do. PS Plus deals are meant to be universal now.

 

Oh, noice! And once Downloaded into the user's PS 4 library, it will be kept there permanently yes? with or without a PS Plus account, right? Unless you decide to delete the file.

 

But isnt it a single player game? So you need plus to buy/download It but not for playing because single player.

Or is there some sort of multiplayer I dont know about

You only need Plus to get it for free. One of the benefits of a Plus subscription is getting free digital copies of certain games. This is now one of them. It has nothing to do with multiplayer.

You can get it without Plus as well... if you pay for it.

The game does not require Plus to play. Plus is only required for those planning to download it for free. If you buy a copy of it, you can play it regardless of whether you have Plus.

This game was the game to finally get me to buy a PS4 and I haven't regretted it. If anyone is on the fence, definitely give it a shot. Especially if you're a fan of the Bayonetta games.

 

I don't think so..? I remember one of the detractors for PS Plus's "free games" things was that you couldn't keep them if you dropped your PS Plus account. It's kind of like Netflix for video games. You can enjoy it all you want as long as you pay the subscription. Once you stop paying for it, you can't play those games anymore. Doesn't matter if they have online modes or not.

 

Correct, you only keep (this free copy at least) of the game for as long as you have Plus. If you drop Plus, you lose access (to the free copy at least - if you own another copy you bought outside of this, you can play that with or without Plus.) If you resume your Plus access again later, provided it's the very same account, you get the game (and all the other free ones you availed yourself of) back.
