I don't have a v1 and had high hopes for this as I really want a Wheelie on my shelf. While I'm still on-board for this and will send it back if I don't get a good one, it's really ridiculous that a figure that was intentionally re-released to fix all the problems of the original release has just as all sorts of new problems and the typical old ones like stress marks and cheap feeling plastic.

Honestly I feel like I should have just waited for the Hasbro/Takara recent release. He looks good and I doubt he has shampoo bottle plastic parts. 60 + bucks down the drain :(  I thought he'd at least be value after Boost v2. It's a 5 dollar toy all day long. I really hope someone does an mp style cosmos besides X. Love the character but not the risk.

Argh, this isn't looking good. I took a chance on this as well, thinking SURELY XTB would be able to put out a decent figure the second time around.

I'm still on a case-by-case basis with them. Very happy with Apollyon and Andras, but I won't be preordering Eligos after all, it seems.

I’ve just received mine. I’ve ordered him from Chimung and I didn’t get replacement parts.

Overall I’m quite happy with him and I think that some of you are a little bit too harsh on the little guy ;) . I have a tiny paint scratch on the thigh, but nothing significant. I can probably fix it with the drop of my girlfriend’s nail polish. The joints are solid and the plastic is much better quality than the V1 ver which I owned. He’s definitely much, much better now, still not perfect though.

I'm struck by how all these recent photos of Ollie v2 seem to have an eerie deadness with the face. Iffy QC aside, I think the face is the biggest reason this has become a PASS for me.

Mine came from there as well. Had to be same lot then. I have stress marked joints and almost paper thing plastic in spots. The tear on his right leg seem to have left the factory like that. Still feels like a shampoo bottle or more precisly like the KO devastators they sell in various sizes and at big lots.

Maybe it is worth painting the eyes a brighter blue. Might bring some life into those lifeless pits.

That's what I'll likely be doing but these reports of crappy plastic and other QC problems don't bode well. I suppose it shouldn't be too surprising as it is XTB, but KFC has made so many strides lately it is a bummer.

I'm done with this thing. Half-price pre-order abandoned.

On the bright side, it looks like the paint on the thighs is a lot smoother and more glossy?
Agree that the face is pretty dead looking. I assume this is the new face and the original is still in the bag?
Got my shipping notice from Premium Collectables today but it's a long weekend coming up and I'm going away for a few days so probably won't receive it till next week:( . They did say they were sending the replacement thighs with it though so that's a plus.

I'm kind of disappointed in this but I rarely transform my figures and having a spare set of thigh's makes up a bit for it.
I've just come to accept that Keith :
1 - can do amazing things with large figures: (Transistor, Scourge, Wreck-Gar),
2 - their design are amazing (all the above plus Beachcomber, Windcharger, Tailgate even Reflector and Wheelie)
3 - but they struggle with QC on their smaller releases
For my collection aesthetics trumps QC, at least up to a point, so I've been willing to give Keith a little slack on most of his releases. Still hesitant on Boost due to the variable red colouring though.
If Keith want's to compete with Badcube for the minibot market, he really needs to shape up. I've been a pretty die-hard supporter and apologist for KFC/XTB for a while now but there's a limit and I'm approaching it rapidly.
I keep hoping for news that DX9 has poached 539 designs. That would be the best of both worlds - DX9's stellar build quality combined with KFC glorious design.

XTBs and KFC are the same company, right? Their original Ollie was awful, while their cassettes broke on me.

After that, I have never bought another of their products again, nor will I.

    Vote with your wallets, people.

You probably could have sold it for double the cost.

Yep KFC and XTB are both owned and run by Keith. It's unclear what other differences there are though in terms of designers, factory etc. As mentioned before, KFC have done some fantastic figures. Their Transistor is pretty much the definitive MP Blaster, their Crash-Hog is an amazing rendition of Wreck-Gar and quality on both is great. Their Andras is reputed to be an amazing Scourge (I don't own him) and their Cyclonus looks like he'll be pretty amazing as well. It's their smaller figures that KFC fall down with. Even then the designs look spectacular - their Arkose (Beachcomber) is just an amazing representation of the character.
If you're clumsy or rough with your figures, steer clear of KFC/XTB mini-bots. If you transform regularly, be very cautious and handle with care. With care and minimal handling their mini-bots make great display pieces (which is pretty much what I want) Their larger figures have all been great for me.
Having said all that, the fragile mini-bot thing is starting to go past the point of forgivable.

This is what happens when you demand that they sell it for half price.

I wonder how much validity there is in that statement. I highly doubt they made that figure to lose money just to please fans.

This is a shame to hear all these reports on QC and no real fix, especially since we are talking about a V2 here. I feel like this is KFC's blaster all over again. The odd part and feel free to correct me but weren't a lot of samples sent without the diecast? If so, I wonder if this figure was rushed and as a result gave us this disaster release?

I know others who had V1 felt the thighs were fine, which is odd they would mess with that part.

KFC was lacking in quality but they have been making solid figures lately. XTB on the other hand.....
