Sadly, it's probably going to be a P.Bandai Exclusive. I'm willing to bet dollars to doughnuts Bandai will include the full arsenal from the GM Ground type. The rifle and shield are the obvious requirements but they never miss a chance to throw in extras.
I was willing to pay the markup for the HG versions too, but the likely mark up for a master grade exclusive... I'm iffy about. Plus the fact that I haven't really dipped into the MG scene since the Shin Musha Gundam. I would've gone for the Vische Donahue set too, but for some dumb reason it didn't come with his units' special equipment.
does anyone by chance have spare armor or parts from a MG deathscythe, shenlong or wing gundam? Trying to create a thing XD
I think this Robot Damashii GM SP II headshot will explain why I think the HGUC version has a terrible face. In comparison, the HGUC SPII looks like a hapless cannon fodder instead of elite limited production MS, which actually reflects its role in the original anime.... And while the WD SPII is more popular than the original, I think it's a bit of stretch to say MG SPII cannot exit without the WD version or we would get WD SPII as normal release and the regular version as PB exclusive. IMO, the WD SPII popularity is due its weapon and colour. One BFG that doesn't look like old hunting rifle and simpler and less toy like colour. Typical Bandai... some steps forwards, a few steps backward. It's not hard to find older kits done something better than the new ones in some respects.
Okay I am glad I'm not the only one. I felt kind of lost there. I like the White Dingo more because A) I really like the clean White and Blue color scheme, i agree that all that baby blue is off putting and looks more like a toy B) I like teams, "White Dingo" sounds pretty bad ass if I do say so myself C) it is an exclusive, I will be the first to admit that I am a sucker for exclusive crap. And I actually prefer the older M1 style of beam rifle as apposed to the more angular style rifle. And let's not forget that the HG White Dingo came with a hover tank which I think is cooler than a worker mech. And also virtually all of the same accessories (minus the Worker mech and I think the larger sheild) that came with the regular release GM Sniper II, which you can give to other figures like say the other White Dingo team members.
The WD GM Sniper II also come with a 100mm Machinegun and as part of having the same runner to make the Hover Tank as the Ground War set it also comes with a railgun, some 1/144 scale soldiers, and a GM ground type head... which is completely out of place, but is rather amusing. Actually while I'm on the subject the addition of beam sniper rifle to the GM Sniper II, while not unprecedented, still kind of confuses me. In the game story proper, with or without cheat codes, The White Dingos never used those rifles.
Damn, it came with the GM head? Would require total repainting I would think but if the whole head (visor, etc.) was there, that would actually save a bit of money since then you could just pop it onto a stand-alone Ground Gundam as opposed to buying the whole Ground War Federation set for the same ends.
It actually doesn't have the visor fir the gm head. I have the ground war set that has the gm head and the wd is missing the visor.
Well being as I've been meaning to take some pics, but haven't done so since I updated my laptop I suppose this is as good a time as any to show what all it comes with. On that note I've found a major fault in the updated windows 8.1 camera app... so screw that noise!
White Dingo is nice, but I still prefer the classic blue. But building them both was fun! Still have to do the hover truck and the mobile mini though.
I'm sorry, but I'll need to verify in person. Mail the parts to me and I'll see if they're legit. That also includes the suit since I need the thing the parts are meant to work with.
Yeah I completely forgot it came with all of that. Would be interesting to see if the MG version would come with all those accessories or the guns at least. Also does anyone else have problems with their 1/100 Gusion, specifically in the hips? Mine seemed to have loosened drastically since I first assembled it and becomes pretty finicky with certain poses. I haven't put it into any crazy poses but it seems the shear weight of the kit is taking a toll on the joints. Maybe pelvic thrust stance with giant hammer rest in the shoulder was not such a good stance to be in.
