I'm sorry but that is not the emotions I go through when watching the 1986 movie. And no... There's no definite answer to preference.

I never said G1 sucks.... I just don't see the G1 movie as the pinnacle of all that is good.

G1 started it all my friend , so every thing we all enjoy to day in the movies is recycled G1 , lol -How old are you any way ? ..... I all ways laugh my self when I see you little kiddies come out and dismiss G1 as though the Bayverse is some how an all new concept or some thing ...... I my self grew up on G1 , G2 and beast wars - AND LOVE EVERY THING SINCE , but you some how lack the ability to just sit back and appreciate the TRANSFORMERS as a whole like normal people do .... It`s like your either 12 yrs old , or your still in the goth faze of your high school yrs and are fueled by anger / hate .... It`s very sad my friend ....just chill and enjoy every thing we are given :)

So, does that mean after Prime released the Dinobots into the wilds of China, they started breeding?

I guess this guy was right.

Same here-and as much as I love the G1 iteration, I DO NOT want the movie ones to be talking like, "Me Grimlock not no Dino DoDo". If their voices are similar to the ones in the War for Cybertron game, that would be cool.

I wish we could judge this film's toyline by the first trilogy's. That would mean Deluxes, Voyagers and Leaders with some semblance of quality. Sadly, I think the next movie line will look like RID15's toyline, with almost nothing collector-friendly. Their use of Minicons, however, isn't that bad, for what that's worth. However, the main thing I was really commenting on was whether the film itself would use any of the gimmicks the toyline will inevitably contain.

Yeah them being more like the Marvel and IDW comics along with FOC with a barbarian knight twist makes a lot more sense here in the movies as opposed to the goofy versions from the G1 show. I'd love to hear Keith David voice Grimlock.

It's nice that they are confirmed, albeit not by Bay or Paramount.

You know way much than I will ever do about the transformers lore.
I don't know anything about lugnut, but your take on the movie plot isn't too bad.

Personally I still like that the Dinobots are legendary knights; and the creators being an unknown powerful alien race.

Now what I never agreed on was humans overpowering cybertronians.

The mini dinobots, that have better be the raptors, and not dwarfed robots.

Errr I seriously hope NOT!! and the only kind of wicked sick would be an evil form of vomit in disgust.....in my view the hatchling thing was waaaay too van helsing and doesn't suit transformers at all. The all spark and matrix are the only two true viable options for life giving. Everything else's just far too power rangers for me, heck apart from the forest battle and the final battle everything involving the decepticons in rotf seemed power rangers to me.... Tf07 had its plot point be adult in nature and that's why it's still the most iconic of the movies.....the last knight and others that follow would be wise to follow the mould set by Stephen Spielberg there.

The only thing I said about Lugnut that couldn't be taken directly from the RtS toy's box bio is that his punch of kill everything gimmick was abbreviated as P.O.K.E. - it goes unnamed but it is the Animated version's signature weapon, the same version this toy is clearly based on given his punches cause massive explosions.

Another reason why I chose Lugnut is because he's an Animated character who made a translation into the movie style. The only other character to do that is Lockdown, so it even preserves that aspect of the plot in a sense. And everybody loves Lugnut.

I'm intrigued as to what these "Mini-Dinobots" might be, and how they'd relate to the regular Dinobots. Would they be Dinobots who turn into life-sized dinosaur alt-modes? 'Cause if they were, I find that kinda funny for some reason. :lol

You could go as far as to say I`m a gwunner because of my love for every thing G1 , but the past few years my mind has opened to the many story telling platforms that have emerged .

Either it's the time travel angle - variant timeline, or possibly Bay looked through " history" and found the reports of the Vrill Society and the rumors of a UFO crash in the Black Forest, Germany in 1937 prior to WW2, which could also led to the Nazi reported wonder weapon, Die Glokin, aka the Bell- rumored to be a time displacement platform, ie time travel.
