I'll update the thread when I have the DIY complete. Right now just showing off the two heads I have just received in the mail.

This is the combiner Liokaiser head model - works for Cyclonus only (the ears gets in the way when trying to stow in the body of Silverbolt/Scattershot.

Bonus: Jallguar head model for Hound

The small head fits Cyclonus nicely

The large head is my favorite work so far...a bit tight to wiggle out of the body, but still fits nicely!

Looking nice. :)  I wouldn't be surprised if Takara does something similar for their UW Liokaiser set.

    At Last! At Last! :D

Can I request a Lyzack head? Either for Cyclonus or Air Raid.

    darn it.......

edit: by "darn it", i meant i wanted to use it on one of my scattershots to make rescue force. i've been taking a break on any shape or form of customizing, due to budget reasons, but if takara doesn't succeed on the two part torso, and depending on how you liokaiser turns out, i might take a shot

Sweet idea! I wish the official version was more like yours is shaping up to be.

This looks ridiculously good. Can't wait to get those Liokaiser parts, next paycheck my order will be going in, hopefully you've made a Deathcobra head by then. :)

Also, how easy was it for you to add those Jetfire wings onto Cyclonus. I think I want to try that out myself.

No sorry, Skylynx has a much smaller combiner head. It can certainly be resized, but don't you think the box set already has a decent combiner head?

Thanks. Deathcobra is next up on my list. Getting these wings on is not too difficult, involves a lot of sawing and such. But I have not figured out yet how to make the combining work - in other words not sure yet if this is a dead end.

That looks great. Can't wait to see how you do this one. :)

Your combiner head design definitely does a better job as an homage to Liokaiser. Plus, it can be painted the correct color, unlike Hasbro, who for some unknown reason couldn't even be bothered to do so on theirs.

Is the combiner head a single print or does it come in separate pieces?

two pieces - on shapeways you can see the render of the model more clearly. The mouthpiece and helmet are separate and can be painted with different colors. I will in fact check out my skylynx to see if there is a way to resize to fit...

Yes! So glad I used Cyclonus as a base.

One thing though, I used the wings from a brave ko, this allows the wings to swivelout of the way when combining, I'm not sure if those Jetfire wings will work if you're planning on having jallguar combine too, unless of course the wings get used to attach the two torso bots for extra stabillity.

Let me know when they're ready for testing as I'll gladly get these sets for my version. There is a radicons thread for him here Heavy/Scratch: - Combiner Wars Leokaiser part 4 Leozack there should be some pictures of how the wings work

These look beautiful my friend. The parts really look seamless on those figures. and what color did you use on Leozack?

It's a custom mix unfortunately, don't think I could replicate it. I think it's teal paint with some white thrown in with it.

It might be worth designing a new chest piece for combined mode, the side wings to work on mine for transformation but due to being glued on the connection is quite fragile.
