It's funny, because while technically different, neither really looks better. Hasbro's actually looks more detailed.
I can only pray, otherwise I might just display Chromedome in vehicle mode... Nah, he'll just be standing towards the back of the shelf.
I agree, I think it was better to do Getaway anyways. Not like he's had a figure/update/homage since 2008. Plus him being a headmaster is perfect, now I can disassembled him like how he ended up in issue 48/49. They're in the pipeline. Not at all. I want a G1 AOE Crosshairs too. I could see them retooling Generations/Drift/Blurr. Use the Blurr body of course because of the guns. Okay now that name makes a bit more sense in a weird way. Still prefer Twinferno all things considered.
Cool insights. Thanks mate. The reason I floated the idea is that if Abominus comes true, Hasbro will have to had produced three individual two-headed dragons figures in the space of 6 months: Sinnertwin, Hug-Gurrr and Doublecross/Twinferno. It's a pretty 'out there' design in today's terms, so I figured they'd want to reuse what they could.
Wow, this might actually be the first complete wave of Deluxes that i want. They all look good enough for the price, though still excited about the 3p Doublecross. Would still prefer Triggerhappy to be a Target Master, but hey, options there still.
Twinferno is an awesome name. Figure looks awesome too. Here's hoping for the other Monsterbots as well.
I have this vivid mental image of inferno and twinferno meeting up in an elevator and their being this really awkward silence and conversation between them about their names.
Very much so. Do you know how much I want an updated g1 version? He was my favorite target master. I swear if they do this I will be very upset. Just don't put any ideas into their head k?
That's pretty much exactly why I do like Getaway. Right there with you. While I'm not opposed to G1 version of AOE Chrosshairs, I'd prefer an update of the original one first.
Why wouldn't Hasbro release another version of Chromedome's head as just a titan master? I'd gladly pay 5 bucks for another head. They're missing a big opportunity for easy money if they don't.
Ok, two colors. Also for the love of god never use a sharpie on a figure like that. It's not going to work out very well. Also keep in mind the Takara one is going to cost you around 4,000 jpy. While I like Chromedome. The toy is not worth that much. Even with more paint apps.
I'll probably get the whole wave. I don't care much about Getaway, but I like the others. And as someone else already said, I can buy a different Titan Master and give him a new head.
yeah, not sure why they wouldn't release the Japan heads in single packs, seems like a no-brainer: honestly, i'd think it'd make sense to keep the other heads from the big guys in circulation so if kids loose one they can get another...
It would be nice if Takara released a set of heads in neutral black, white and grey. They could go on any figure without the colours clashing.
We don't know that this won't happen, just that it isn't happening yet. There may be a few figures though where the bodies are too similar for Takara to let their heads run loose. Consider Weird Wolf. Why would someone spend 40 on Takara's for it's head when you can spend 5 for it loose and put it on their nigh-identical Hasbro body.
well, we've got a rumor list for the entire series, and no re-releases of any of the heads included in the Titanmaster rumors...
I'm in the same boat with the Takara version of Chromedome. The only thing I like better about it is the head sculpt. But my collection is limited by my budget and $40 is an awful lot to pay for a small headmaster. Maybe we'll see the special loose, complete, no box figure from China on ebay which have been almost $20 cheaper if you factor in shipping from the online retailers.
