I would like to see Hot Rod become Rodimus Prime but not right now. I would like that to be something more built up to rather than something they just drop into the movie because "Hey the 1986 movie did it too!" I like the 1986 film and I loved Hot Rod's characters, but my one complaint about the film was that it just wasn't built up. He was foreshadowed to becoming a Prime yes, but they didn't build him up as a leader. Instead they gave that to Ultra Magnus to throw off our expectations but while that was a good idea it also hurts Hot Rod at the same the time because it shows "Okay we see he was picked as leader but we don't see why he should be leader."

That's what I want to see. If they do go with the Rodimus Prime route I want him to show skills and hints that he has the qualities of a leader while retaining his fun-loving and mischievous attitude. Then they could build on those elements more and more until finally he becomes Rodimus Prime and it'll leave people more satisfied because they'll see why he should be leader. It would also help if Optimus steps down rather than being killed off considering "1986."

So let me guess? Optimus and Rodimus now team up on Megatron and save the day again? Megatron loses half his face again/dies? Can the bad guys win for once. Honestly just one time. It's not like I want Optimus to die but I feel if they did it in this movie it would be the perfect time. And maybe leave with a cliffhanger like the 'cons actually winning at something.

I don't like Barricade having a meme on him tbh, at least to enslave and punish was logical and an actual parody of something actually on a cop car.

 

Well actually apparently the "keep calm" phrase makes sense since they're in London and the phrase was created by the British.

Yeah Keep Calm and (carry on) is a massive British meme and it's written on like half our souvenir merch, I've also seen some concept art of Barricade and he has 'protect' and 'serve' written on his fists on it - kinda makes me a bit uncomfortable because he's my favourite Decepticon and I don't really want to see him portrayed more as a joke? I don't trust this movie hahahaha

I wonder a lot about his character really - he's a typically American style and car but he's also in London with British stuff written on him - and is he working with humans? Aaaaa

By the way if anyone is in the area there's official road closure information for the Gresham St and Gherkin area for the Friday 23 and Saturday 24th September due to filming, so I REALLY hope they're going to be about with all the cars outside again because I've blown a lot of money on a hotel  

 

So I didn't finish about the third day. After filming episodes with Hopkins they fast moved to the skyscrapers area. Buildings are very beautiful and located tightly. I also rushed in the footsteps of them and immediately saw Mark Wahlberg and Laura Haddock arriving to place, but didn't catch them again later. They was in the same clothes like in the scene at Holborn. Firstly they filmed a scene with McLaren and TRF inside City's Leadenhall Market, very beautiful place. Then I've caught them near the Gherkin, camera shoot only skyscrappers' tops and they haven't cars or people there. After it I've seen Bumblebee and Hot Rod racing around together at breakneck speed, but Bumblebee always was leading It was very cool! Generally I've caught not much interesting, because the crew kept us far away from the place of filming, since they was planning to use pyrotechnics I walked around the place, trying to go closer, but wasn't successful, I've returned to the first place and have seen some anxiety and tensity. Johnatan Sela was sitting on the road with camera, then he put big headphones, then policemen stopped the traffic and... Rolling! Actors rushed away and... BOOOOM!!! Everything exploded! My God, how it was scary!!!!!!!!!! I even cried!    After that they all rushed to initial place and filmed an explosion of car! I was very close! But that was ending of filming  I took photo with all my new friends and finally cried: "Transformers forever! Michael Bay is the BEST! Thank you so much!!!"                And hurried to airport... Hope, he's heard what I've said!

 

Could you see what car they blew up? Was it one of the characters or a regular car?

I'm curious; did you see Crosshairs or Drift during your time there? I know they had their cars in the trucks but I have seen no photos of them on the road anywhere? I wonder if they're mostly going to be in a big fight scene already transformed...

I also found more information that they postponed some filming on the 4th September and it has been rescheduled' there will be rapid driving scenes on Westminster Bridge on Saturday 24th and they'll be filming the cars coming through Piccadilly Circus on Sunday 25th September, just in case anyone else here fancies a trip down! Really hoping I can get close on Sunday and get some more juicy info

Great pictures! A few thoughts.

I find the post about Hot Rod and Optimus intriguing to say the least. If it happens I personally have no problem with Hot Rod becoming Rodimus if there is a good explanation for it, and frankly I would rather them be with each other rather than one of them be dead.

I suspect Barricade is not just some minor character this time around. He has been seen in far too many filming pictures and videos in too many locations, and he could appear as a CGI character in scenes where his vehicle does not appear.

And TRF? Many suspected that Cemetery Wind would have been extinguished after AOE, but I like the idea that they have instead only grown to become international and become TRF. I am curious to see what the world's reaction to the existence of Cybertronian dinosaurs will be as well as the human response top the survival of Megatron.

I'm still thinking that most information which I've said is factically a speculation, not spoilers  I also forgot to say that I've seen a girl in strange costume with plenty of small white circles, maybe she's also a mo-cap actress? I've seen her near MW's double

 

Oh yes I saw her next to MW on some photos from them filming up in Yorkshire with the same costume, looks like a mo cap costume. I attached a photo of her from Twitter. Did you see her in London?

Makes me wonder if she's a human sized robot? Also isn't there supposed to be a 14 year old girl with a transformer as a best friend somewhere in the plot of this movie? (I really hope not I've got a 4 novel fanfic with human transformers in and I'll be annoyed if there's any in the movie and people think I've copied them, hahaha)
