New site superior, old site inferior.

 

What's a computer? I only know this device that is a phone now. Sitting at computer or having a laptop in my lap seems so 2005 now.

 

The ebay stuff is here to stay. Also, Tokunation is on an older platform that doesn't use all of the same add-ons that TFW did. Simply copying that was not an option.

 

man...I'm gonna miss those. But I do understand the reasoning behind it.

 

Awe...I was just coming in here to ask that. However, a ton of them (all of them?) were very old, and hopefully, the creator posted a thread anyway, which could, in theory, still have the pictures.

 

The only thing I really miss is the user CP.

 

The 'watched threads' page under the forums menu at the top of the page serves the purpose of seeing your thread activity and the rest of the stuff is contained in the drop down menu when you click on your name at the top right of the page.

 

So far I find the new site frustrating. That stuff with the latest posts on various topics on the side (or bottom for mobile devices) was something I practically relied on for updates and new stuff, particularly when someone failed to link that one reveal of MP OPtimus Primal's prototype reveal or whatever it was to the actual forum where that was being discussed. The new multiquote system's also rather annoying, especially due to the loss of the quote button. So far I don't feel the upgrade.

 

If you click the little dot to the left of the thread title it'll take you to the first unread post in the thread. Is that what you were looking for there?

 

Just out of curiosity: any plans to eventually upgrade Cybertron.ca to the same platform?

 

How the heck do you delete PMs now? Err, "conversations" I mean.

 

Click the check box, it will bring up a window. Select "Leave conversation".

The 'new posts' link in the header under 'Forums' will show you the latest threads with activity in descending order.

 

Just click the thread title.. no need to seek for tiny targets. The default thread view is jump to the first unread post. This is not obvious after the upgrade because everyone's last read index was reset. So clicking the thread title would take you to page 1. Once you have read in the thread, the link will take you to the first unread.

 

So any word when the posts that were deleted are coming back?

Well, might as well get acquainted with this new format for when TokuNation overhauls which I'm suspecting it might.

I do however like that now we can highlight and quote specific parts of posts in the case that, say, a post is particularly long and only the coda is what you wanted to talk about.

And a draft post autosave! That's nifty.

Also are we no longer having Radicons? That stinks.

 

They aren't. An announcement was made, prior to the upgrade, site wide that any posts made after September 6 at 12:30 AM would not carry over to the news system. The announcement was at the top of each forum from September 6th until the new site was launched.
