Suggestion: consider changing the icon that you use to like a post.. so there is more differentiation between it and the icon used to show how many existing likes there are.

When you see this view... the icon on the left looks like the one you should click.. as it says 'Like' next to it.. but its actually the OTHER icon you want to click :)
    Example:
    Screen Shot 2016-09-09 at 11.44.32 AM.png

Also mixing the terms 'rating' and 'like' in the UX is confusing. 'Likes' has a lot of negative connotations from other environments but in my experience once the initial dust settles.. its ok. The key is to make sure people keep 'likes' as light hearted and limited in value. By mixing in the term 'rating', you muddy that slightly and give more percieved value to it because people will see 'ratings' as somehow valuing people. Vs simply seeing likes as 'has created a lot ofposts that people ack'd for one reason or another'.

I never got any news credits.. but seems a shame those are drowned in the likes count.

The update looks pretty slick. I don't really have any problems with it. :)

    Great changes.
Not quite used the new boards yet, but a site fitting mobile browsing is a must in current and future.

I seems that the link to the Radicons section from the main page is not working properly. You can go to the sub forums in the pull down menu, but the default link to the section does not work.

Not sure if it's been mentioned. I have a small child and no time to scroll through 20 pages. The ebay link thing does not appear to be working. It's not showing up on mine, if it is working. Maybe I've done something wrong.

After playing around for a day, still really liking what you guys have done! Maybe it's because I don't post a ton, but everything I,personally, usually do seems much easier, simpler, and user friendly. Can't wait to try the new image upload and add to post feature here soon with my first new post in Radicons. And I seriously can't thank you guys enough for bringing back the "view full size" photo option. Quoting, and especially multi-quoting just seems to flow better now (yeah, it might take one extra click of the mouse), but it just seems to...I dunno, make more sense I guess. Also, maybe because I don't post that much...I generally just remember what threads I've posted in, and go back to it....so I've never used whatever functionality people seem to be talking about to view all of your posts on one page (or whatever it is), but it sounds like there's a just as easy to use feature. The alerts to see that people have responded to your posts is super helpful and convenient though. And, while the PM thing is definitely a big change, it sounds like it'll work out better in the end.

I just discovered the "More" underneath the Search bar too, with the super handy "Your Posts" and "Your Threads". I often used the "search threads started by user name" in the advanced search of the old site, to find my Sales thread, or a post in Radicons, but this is even easier. But what if I want to see a thread started by another user, not their individual posts, how do I do that?

My one complaint, if it's even that, is one that I've seen mentioned a few times. I really don't like all the avatars of who started the thread visible on the left side of the forum view. It's distracting, and IMO, completely useless. If there's a way to get rid of them, please do, or share how we can do that.

For those of you who are having trouble with the change, or just don't like it, give it a day, play around some. Seems much easier to use, navigate, and figure stuff out than before.

So, they fixed the colour, but the really useful sidebar is gone...

    Why?

When the side bar was launched, it was the single biggest complaint for an upgrade we've ever had, and heard about it for months after. There was no exact add-on that mimicked what we were doing there (this is an entirely new system). Since it was so widely disliked, we felt it better to abandon it all together rather than spend resources on the side bar.

Holy Moly! Did not expect this after clicking the link on my favorites bar :D

I quit like the freshness of it. Took a while to find the log in link though. Finally glad I don't need to click "Advanced reply" to get smiles.

Nice little changes make things feel faster to.

The Reflector corner looks especially AWESOME. Finally: a better pic section than Seibertron! :D

Can you move/remove the ebay links then since it really breaks up the flow of the website is really awkwardly placed between articles. Also the Tokunation redesign seems to work fine enough on mobile devices why didn't you guys just copy that for the TFW redesign? This whole redesign seems to pander to the mobile demographic while not caring about how things look on desktops with how stretched out and zoomed in things look

I really like the update so far. Especially on my phone it is a damn blast to use. Very user friendly, very easy to use, very pleasant too.

On PC, though, there are some issues I've found. Most of those are just a case of getting used to, but the actual biggest one is the width. The original widt made everything easy to read. Now it's stretched to the point where posts become difficult to read. Change this, and I'll love the new style.

Overall very a great improvement, but if I could make a suggestion.
I'm not a fan of the 'Just Listed on Ebay' segment on the front page.
Is it possible to customize the listing locations to, say ebay.co.uk? Or move it down to the bottom.
All those $$$ signs make the site feels American-specific whereas before it felt more universal and not county specific.

It did throw me for a loop when I first opened the site.

Couple concerns I have after browsing for a while that I find makes the new site quite a bit more uncomfortable than previous renditions.

    • When browsing threads, can the number of pages below the thread titles stay lit up permanently instead of auto hiding?
    • The page selections in the threads themselves are all listed, but the highlighted page you are currently on is not contrasted enough to really tell the difference on what page you are actually on. Can this be adjusted to clearly show what page we are on when reading through threads?
    • Possible to put the page numbers and selection back on the right side of the site pages? not a huge deal, but It's been on the right side for the last decade.
    • I'm unable to find how to hide Avatars as this was a feature I've always had selected. Are we still able to hide avatars?
    • New pots which have always been bolded after a previous visit seem to be stuck on permanently bolded unless I click to read that particular thread. What I mean is a thread that has a new post will be displayed as bold until you left the site. If you closed the browser and came back, those threads would not be bolded anymore, as they were no longer new. At the moment that feature seems to be stuck on having every thread bold *saying it has new posts in it. Can this be fixed? How do we tell if a thread has had a new reply since our last visit?

The new ignore functionality is the best thing ever. It's like the forums are born anew, arsehole-free. No more seeing them quoted, no more temptation of "View Post".

    Awesome stuff all around, Staff-peoples!
