I got the smaller guns from shapeways.com, specifically seller Moffman180 for the guns for Swindle, Brawl and Blast Off. Vortex's gun came from Sunlink. Being shapeways products they have to be painted and the one's from Moffman are on the small side, more pistols thans rifles because they were meant for the scout sized Combaticons. I was gonna get rid of them after getting in the Renderform guns but since they are the Combaticons the more guns the better!

 

Yeah Combaticons can never have too many guns.

 

Thankfully, I haven't had a problem with the rectangular peg, especially since the peg hole on Swindle's shoulder is an octagonal shape (or maybe it's a hexagon, can't recall from memory.) Also fits into Bruticus's hand just fine, which is the only other place I planned on putting the cannon. I'll try to get some pics tonight, showing off the Combativons in their Renderformy goodness.

Overall, very pleased with my first experience with Renderform. Product looks, feels, and works great. My experience with the Combaticons and Blast-Off has been enhanced. Swindle's Cannon also works incredibly well as a large pistol for Bruticus.

So today was the deadline I had given to have things wrapped up, however, I have bad news, with some good news. Bad news, I still have orders to finish off, as I've faced a ton of bad head castings for the Blastoff kit. The good news is, this should not be any real long delay, as I'm looking at being able to finish shipping everything by end of day on Monday. I'll be sending an email out to everyone who is still waiting, tonight, for the update.

Since I don't share much behind the scenes look, I've attached a couple photos showing a batch of bad head castings. All the ones shown have various issues, from bubbles, holes, to accidentally being over trimmed in some areas. If these were issue free, I actually would of had enough to wrap up orders already. Issues like this is why production can take long, and the more orders I have, the longer it takes. The worse kit to date, was the original Darkwind set. I had to cast double the amount of heads, to fulfill pre-orders. Each casting takes time and effort to make, before further work is done to hand finish and assemble. So you can kind of imagine the amount of work being spent to get a perfect kit made and shipped.

Today's update! Just shipped out about 60 orders today. Email confirmations have been sent out. I'm still short on just under 50 orders. About to go work on the helmets for those Blastoff kits, and hoping theres enough good ones to finally finish these overdue orders.

April 2016 ? Renderform

Tomorrow I'll be putting up a bunch of new items, that debuted over the summer at TFCon, and the G2 and United Warriors versions of the Combaticon weapons and Blastoff kits. I'm going try an experiment with how fast these new orders will go, since the molds are in production phase already. If I end up with another long delay, I'll have to move onto private sales for my items, thereafter.

I personally don't think Baldigus/Ruination's deluxes need guns from me, since they each come with extra guns already. Probably a rifle for the combiner mode is all thats needed.

BTW, if anyone wants the Combaticon weapon sets, you have till Monday night to pre-order them. Pre-orders will close, and orders will be subjected to whats left over, after the current batch of orders are all shipped out. After that, I'll remove the listings off my website. So if you want to gurantuee a set, get your order in by Monday night. This is for the regular CW, Unite Warriors or G2 versions.
