It's mind-boggling to me that anyone would remove this:

Even if I was desperate to find a reason to justify having bought Warden, I wouldn't ruin TR Fort Max by putting that blockhead on it. That's throwing away good money after bad.

TR Fort Max has definite shortcomings... missing features and a couple disappointing cut corners... but not the head. The head is the one part that is absolutely perfect.

On the other hand, I kind of can't wait to see photos of someone putting the Warden head on TR Fort Max. Or at least some photoshops. It's going to look hilarious.

 

 

I'd just like to be able to use the Warden head for fun - I bought Warden for the robot mode but it would be nice to use the head as a novelty.

I agree that actual official TR Fort max head sculpt looks much better. (If Warden were the reason to buy Fort Max I wouldn't have bothered just because of the price, let alone the compatibility issue  ).

He looks great with Metroplex.

 

I actually like the look of the Warden head better. I don't know what it is, but there is something about the new Fort Max head that makes me want to punch him in the face. Having said that, I still want one and I'm currently trying to decide if I should try and go SDCC or wait for Takara.

I don't know what happened. Because about 3 years ago, I was seriously considering buying Warden just so I could put that head on my reissue G1 Max. I thought it looked terrific. But when I look at it now, it looks like Playskool brand (which ironically is owned by Hasbro) 'Baby's First Transformers Head' to me.

Designs gets replaced over time with the earlier ones being outpaced.

Almost a decade back, majority of the fans get wowed by Fansproject's City Commander upgrade kit & Warbot Not-Springer...

Now?

Even the Generations mold that has been milked to death does better than the third party piece anytime of the day whereas that City Commander upgrade kit which I used to hold so dear seems obsolete when I compare it with the Legends version of Ultra Magnus. (I just can't talk to that piece anymore)  

 

SDCC FM looks awesome! I was debating between this guy and the Takara version but the overall deco, included sword, and packaging of the SDCC version won me over. Can't wait to get him in hand!

 

I have SDCC Fort Max in hand, and I'm loving it! He looks awesome! Orginally, I wasn't too sure about the Master Sword (was rather hoping for his photon rifle) but it's starting to grow on me. I will more than likely goer the PE Titans Cannon for my retail Fort Max, I think he kinda looks naked without a weapon in his hand (my only gripe about retail version)

 

I've been looking at that PE cannon too, but I'm not crazy about the colors being the same as on FM himself.

 

Yea, me neither. I'm really hoping they change the color in final version. Like maybe his G1 release

I have two actually, I got one from HTS and the other off of EBay

 

Dammit. The more I see this SDCC Fort Max the more I want it. Color combination..plus the Takara used HM face and the Master Sword are all plus points. I can get him from local hobby shop here in KL for under USD 240. Cash and carry. Hmmm.
