    Other than this...

I doubt Hasbro has made much of a plan for how to distribute mold diversity in each wave for us once they resort to redecos. I mean this lineup IS better than Combiner Wars was for us on that front. We've only gotten one redeco out of Sentinel into Astrotrain yet seeing how we get redecos of the same molds for OP/Megs into Octane/Blitzwing it gets one concerned.

I agree though that Nightbeat could easily be retooled and re molded on several fronts to make all three unique. Hell even remake one of them into other cars such as Drift or whatever else comes to mind. I mean as long as we get better Headmasters than retail for them.

Hopefully we can get the HM JRS along with the humanoid Autobot Master Warriors to compliment any possible redecos. Hell even redecoing all of the Autobot master warriors would be great on their own if we had stand alone transtectors to use them on.

I mean with how they used these guys as generics below.

Those redecos would be great since the originals weren't always appealing on colors for some yet these could be for some. Just repainting details like the faceplates and helmet bits while changing up the targetmaster vehicles would help on reselling them as an incentive.

Find a non fan that even remembers who AT was, go on try it. I never said the horrorcons were more well known than AT just that he isn't a big seller name either so that argument doesn't hold up.

You also completely missed the point that AT could fit in any line where as the horrorcons are the perfect fit for voyagers in this line.

so, if we get a Skorpinok in the next few years, would he still be in Titans Return or whatever the Next Line is? So, will we get a Springer in this line? Or IDW Whirl? Cyclonus, Misfire, Slugslinger, Sureshot, Crosshairs, Pointblank?

Pentuple agreed, and to add something else...

I honestly think the Horrorcons are similar enough in design/transformation that Hasbro could do a 2010~era Hasbro parts-reuse mold-sharing scheme for both of them. For example the fat thighs of Snapdragon become the fat shoulders of Apeface, and the tail of Snapdragon being the jet cockpit for both, and just folding up on Apeface's back in his gorilla mode. Then minimal surface detail parts differentiation for both of them.

I mean, obviously two unique molds would be the bees' knees, but this compromise would be better than what we got now... titanmasters *shivers*.

    Stupid Hasbro.

    OH.

But I did have a thought: they may be saving them for Prime Wars 3, if it is indeed the speculated "Call of the Primitives" line. For example, we still don't have Predaking or Abominus (or Monstructor) and those 3 guys we all know could be accomplished with some mold/parts sharing, so it's a fairly certain thought they may still be coming. Then these two guys could also be voyagers, if, like some people speculate, Prime Wars 3 is a free-for-all of combiners and headmasters, making the most of both gimmicks.

Agreed :p  (though stupid Hasbro is pushing it)
Yeah offcourse i am not dreaming of two unique molds, and i expect they could make two very good Horrorcon toys through ingenious retooling and parts swapping and the like.
Maybe we'll see stuff like the Horrorcons in a CW style boxset ?
    Thats another possibility.

There's been a few Legends pop in that were well-neigh confirmed in Thrilling 30 and Combiner Wars that ended up in the following sub-brand, though. Gnaw was hinted at for two years straight before finally getting him in Titans Return. I'm just saying to not be surprised if Legends Brawn's can doesn't get kicked down the road one more time...which will be disappointing considering they're releasing ANOTHER Cosmos(?!).

At best, they're even. Apeface and Snapdragon are classics for anybody over 30, while Trion is going to be popular with fans who follow the various storylines.

And keep in mind, Titans Alpha Trion is the first ever at retail. Until now he's been relegated to the Convention figure circuit. With the exception of Takara's Ultra Magnus repainting Minimus.

Even Arcee got figures at retail before we finally got a G1 Arcee toy.

    ----------------------

Maybe Hasbro heard fans who were a bit concerned about the CW repaint/retoolings so they decided to try and balance the mold reuses with unique molds.

Also, people upset over "actual" Headmasters being left out should talk to people who are bummed that (so far) some combiners missed out on CW while Optimus, Cyclonus, and Sky Lynx got an upgrade.

They're mixing classic and new in the Generations line. I know Getaway wasn't originally a Headmaster...but I'm absolutely ecstatic that after nearly 30 years we're finally getting a new one.

I'd assume a new Springer (and Sandstorm) will be on the way as they appear eager to redo Blitzwing.

When it comes to Whirl, I think you just answered a question I've been asking myself since Titans started. If they're redoing triple changers to look more like G1, then Springer and Sandstorm won't share a mold this time.

Springer likely would become a new Rodimus, their car modes are close enough. But I couldn't figure out who'd be able to reuse the Sandstorm mold. Until now.

IMO, "even at best" is still being extremely charitable to Apeface and Snapdragon.

I mean, you've got Alpha Trion, pre-movie cartoon character who has reappeared throughout multiple franchises, including the Prime cartoon just a few years ago, versus Apeface and Snapdragon, two guys from the waning days of the original franchise who haven't any kind of fictional appearances other than crowd-filling cameos since the '80s...

I will admit it is kind of sad that we won't probably get the likes of the Headmaster Jrs and the Horrorcons as full on figures. This can be seen as I am pissed at how their handling the Titan Masters.

Yet at the same time I'm happy to finally have an Alpha Trion & Sentinel for my G1 shelf. And that we finally get to see guys like Triggerhappy & Getaway in modern times! Hell we're getting a six changing Sixshot! Hard to be mad at Hasbro right now with all they are delivering in my opinion... Well except for the Titan Master class.

I think there's still an outside chance we'll see Horrorcons again...not in Titans Return but, if there be beasts in PWpt3, the Horrocons are probably on the short list...especially if they're getting the name rights back for Apeface and Snapdragon. For all we know, the TiMs are probably just placeholders for the main event to come.
