This is where i am. This and kfc wreckgarr pretty much broke my 'no non-earth mode figures' rule. Im in.

REALLY would like a smile or smirking face option on Allen though, or a non-frowning neutral one. He often had a confident sarcasm going on. I hope if UT won't provide an alt face, some of our enterprising board members might take a stab.

 

That group shot that Sixo posted is amazing. I think I'm sold on this guy. Now we need an Arcee and a Kup and that group shot will be even more awesome.

 

Aren't the feet the front "pods" of both vehicles? If you fix the feet, you break both alt modes.

The way I see it, the feet are a minor part of the robot mode, and the "pods" are a major part of both alt modes, so it is more important that the part remains yellow.

 

HAHAHA!! I understand - I am looking at pics and thinking to myself "I might want to get a Wheelie toy" and that is just weird. Hey, it's not like I have to listen to him talk.

 

They should add grey covers for the feet, like thin slippers, or stickers, so people can choose.

 

I can live with yellow feet I guess. Kinda scared to paint it anyway

 

If I end up getting this guy I will likely paint the feet like a digi that was posted farther back in this thread.

 

In the cartoon, those parts were the same green as the rest of the fender, so yellow isn't particularly accurate either.

This is a really cool idea. Wish we had a confirmed UT presence on the boards so they might see it.

 

Ehhh... In the cartoon they're yellow in bot mode and car mode, and green in heli mode.

So I call them yellow.  

 

Rather than paint the feet grey, i think i may actually leave them yellow and paint the rear heli/car fins grey. I think that will balance out everything enough in all modes.

In helicopter mode, the parts that become Allen's feet are dark green, even the front that becomes Allen's toes:

So based on Allen's transformation, he'll never be 100% cartoon accurate. The best he could do is have dark green feet where Springer has gray feet to match his lower legs.

Between the trickle of video reviews and these most recent pictures...I caved and ordered this guy. I just like Springer way too much to not take the shot on him. The first 3rd Party figure I ever bought (and the only one for many years) was Defender...guess it's time for a new and improved Springer that also fits with my MPs.
