Wow! So they ARE keeping up with the SG Omnibots. Damn, MT is really chaulked up with a LOT of projects.

 

They just recently released their Lightspeed in an individual release earlier this year right? They probably just asked the factory to run a couple in an alternate deco at the same time they made those.

 

Let's not forget there is a fanmode Blot beast mode for Celeritas!

Nothing against this figure but much prefer they focus on new combiners rather than alt colorations for a three year old set.

 

Considering this is the first time SG Computron is appearing as a toy, I'm quite happy! Much happier than getting a 7th? 8th? or whatever Devastator.

 

Yeah, I get that. But looking at it another way, the amount of people buying a repaint of a combiner set they already own is much less business/volume than releasing an entirely new set to the market. We don't even have a MakeToys MTCombiner series Superion/Bruticus/Liokaiser mold at all yet, but we do already have Quantron. But as long as it's not delaying the next combiner, it's all good.

 

Yes, we already have the molds, so it probably takes little effort for Maketoys to produce it along side their latest run of Quantron. Nothing lost by them, almost all profit.
