Gamescom 2016: Mass Effect Remasters 'Likely', says EA - IGN Looks EA has changed their stance on remasters. I'll be interested in a remaster if it's all three games, DLC included. And Andromeda is still on course, we should see something very soon.
It's gonna happen. It's a matter of when, not if. Completely baffles me that it evidently took this long for them to realize there's a demand. Oh, and they're apparently waiting until after Titanfall 2/Battlefield 1 are out to finally do the big Andromeda blowout. So probably November. Still fully expecting it to be delayed though.
I'm also surprised it took this long. I wouldn't be surprised if they delay it and let the remasters come out first like Sony did with Uncharted 4. I'm totally going to buy it. Mass Effect 2 is my second favorite game of all time, and I loved 3 aside from the ending.
That's one of the theories going around... all depends on how fast they can put it together, without it being a complete trainwreck like the Master Chief Collection.
If the original game still look good today, just imagine how great they'd look with a new coat of paint... A part of me is also hoping that in addition to ME3 getting a fresh coat of paint, they also give the ending a do over. I somewhat doubt it, but I can still hope.

That was totally staged. The lighting was all wrong and noway we could get a ship to the moon with the kind of radiation out there. Nice try, Government.
One thing I think they really need to make clear is if any of the ME3 endings are canon for this game. The changes they all made to the galaxy were so massive, they can't just ignore them. It's obviously a "Damned if you do. Damned if you don't" situation, but it still needs to be addressed.
They keep saying that but showing us earth and the moon. I'm honestly confused by it all, ME3 was such a mess.
I had the Mass Effect 3 Happy Ending mod installed, so no problem for me. Also based on what I have read elsewhere Andromeda not only takes place in another galaxy but something like 200 years after ME3 but the mission was launched prior to the actual events of ME3 so whatever consequences have occurred are irrelevant at this stage. They may become relevant later, but to the beginning of the game they aren't.
I keep hearing "600 years" being thrown around. That it's a 600 year journey? I think it'd make sense to me for them to have created this ark in response to the reaper threat. Whether that's after the reapers invaded (which would seem likely, since nobody ever gave two shits about Shepards warnings) or somebody DID listen to Shepard and put this program into effect a good deal before they actually invaded? But I feel like they're just going with "it happened before and these people just missed out on everything that happened because they were on their journey." (even though I think it'd be neat to tie it into the OT in that way.) One of the guys working kn the game did confirm the 600 years bit but he added "we never said 600 years from when" so... Yeah.
There is supposed to be a novel coming out soon that will bridge the gap a little more between ME3 and Andromeda.
