replace the blue the with black or dark dark purple and this should've been what Barricade looked like in 2007.

Wow! Other than the Bumblebee-looking face (hope there would be a backstory to the look, eg. mocking 'bee's look), love the design, weapons, and knuckledusters! For the latter, reminds me of BA Baracus from the A-Team movie with 'Pity' and 'Fool' on the knuckle joints!  

 

Sorry if this has already been said, and I know it sounds STUPID....BUT...

Could Barricade start out as a decepticon and switch sides somehow? My reasons are WEAK, but a couple of things are bugging me...

1) His look. He's more like Bumblebee and HotRod now. He looks less agressive (in his looks, not his weaponry).. not as angular or 'sharp' looking. This could just be an asthetic for the movie though, but it's not a traditional Decepticon look, unless you could the human made TF's.

2) Protect and Serve on his Knuckles? Why can I see a totally 'OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE' scene in slow motion, where he actually saves the day by 1-2'ing a decepticon while the camera focuses on Protect and serve? Punish and Enslave are still part of his design, but the placement seems odd. Plus, Jetfire kept his Decepticon symbol.

I know.. completely far fetched, but the change in designs is pretty drastic this time around. They've already done too much 'defecting', so I don't think any of this is true. Never know with Bay though.. maybe he starts as Barricade and Ends up as Prowl XD
I know the concept art says decepticon, but they wouldn't release a plot twist like that, even if it were true.

Anyway.. just thought I'd share some of the rubbish that goes on in my head XD

and you still forgot the other detail that made barricade barricade(until sideways was revealed the first time around) the windows pike son his back

 

was asked to build this new barricade suit
no problem just cant see head
i built a stinger helmet before and looks same
so i redrew the head to understand it in order to build
and now i was sent picture i seen before of the barricade head from movie 1 on body 5
the barricade suit is high end with 1400 invested in parts to build
so wee like to have proper head built
wht do you think the old movie one barricade head or like drawing
i drew one antenna as if were two it too similar to stinger helmet
this new design incorporates a bit of galvatron feel vented side head fins
and Armour police helmet with trying to keep barricade original spike y ends plates flaring off head
