Hey Folks, Just wanted to show off my little mod for Fortress Maximus's LED clear eyes. I used a clear red paint over it, and put some Foil behind the clear parts to give it a refractive nature akin to MP Soundwave's visor. I fit the LED through a small hole in the foil so the LED feature still works too and In my opinion is brighter now. Just wanted to share and let ya all see. - Medri

Lovely mod, but please excuse me, as I didn't understand the original instructions. Could some please explain the process in easy to follow steps?
How did you get the face apart? I removed as many screws as i could, but got stuck at actually pulling it apart because of the pins on the sides of his chin. Did you remove them? Or was there some other step I missed? Please, let us know! This is awesome work!
Thanks much for the support! I am not willing to undo the head again but I will explain it the best I can verbally. When you have the Cerebros Figure (fort max head) you need to have Cerebro's chest exposed to unscrew the main 2 screws in his chest. Those two screws hold together the entire assembly of his face, the middle piece, and cerebro's black chest piece. Once you undo that, you take off Cerebros's chest piece being mindful of the speaker and LED that is friction held into slots on the black chest piece. the two screw-holes that you had mounted the black chest piece, are actually long pieces that are attached to the back of the Fort Max face. you push those two pieces through and being mindful of the two pins next to Fort Max's chin you push through the pins too. (there isn't much plastic held on the pins, so it shouldn't give you trouble, but be mindful) at that point the face is a whole separate piece as well as the forehead helm that will probably fall off at that point. At this point you can see all the electronics inside of Fort Max/Cerebros. The FACE piece has a clear piece of plastic. for the eyes that you can push out from the eye socket and pull it out for paint. Use clear red paint to make it red or dye it, whatever works for you. And along the back of it, there is a circular slot in the middle of the clear piece that holds the LED in the plastic. If you add a piece of foil (without wrinkling the foil, harder than it sounds) you can puncture a hole in the foil where that socket is, push the LED through and have a refractive backing to the eyes. That's what I did. If this doesn't make any sense I apologize.
Cool, Please by all means post your results of your mod if you do it, I would like to see what you do for yours! Ya know you say that, and I appreciate the idea of something easier. But I just like the look of paint more. Also here are some images of what it looks like without the foil behind it, this was my first attempt before it, I had to shine light into it to get it to refract a bit more, but it is more vibrant with the Foil.
I decided to do this technique earlier today and simply used a red sharpie to color the clear piece. The main thing to look out for is the ink rubbing onto your fingers and potentially transferring itself onto the figure during reassembly. You could also use Tamiya clear paint for the eyes.
