Basically, they said do not do my fix as it makes the waist looser (Depending how much you shave off). This is true - i noticed more "wobble" in the waist area.

However, they also said do not modify without playing with it first - um, trying to transform it is what caused 2 or 3 people to break it!

They also recommend against disassembling the figure. Sure.

Before i took mine apart I did try to pull it apart but was afraid to use much force for fear of snapping the peg.

Not sure what FP/FPC want us to do except leave the figure in robot mode until some indeterminate period of time when they produce a fix.

As I said - there is no fix other than a remolded gray retainer clip, and there's no way to replace it without cracking him open! its literally INSIDE the torso!

I guess we shouldn't transform our figures "for now"

Well I've been cooling off on this for a while and it looks from what's been posted that I dodged a bullet.

Those of you technically competent can work around it but anything that involves punching pins out brings the shudder of horror from memories of the only time I tried it.....and ruined a fairly expensive figure in the process.

Looks like TT Diabattles will have to do for me. And if/when FP get around to a Hardhead in their Function line I think I'll be done with them too.

Not sure why the figures in Asia that they referenced did not have any issue. If that is true, then the mold was damaged during the production of the run for North America/FPC, right?

The problem is in the molding, it seems, and theoretically all figures are made from the same mold . . . what else could create this issue in just some figures?

People should be getting their figures next week - i think the only people that got it were on the west coast.

I did not look carefully enough at this earlier - looks like what broke are the tabs on the side of the grey ring. I had assumed you snapped the red peg off, and that thing is fairly thick. Still a problem, and still a risk that you'd break something in that area forcing it

Before i tried fixing it, when I had the grey ring exposed i tried using small pliers to tug it off, and it wouldn't budge. If someone didn't know about this risk, they'd be using quite a bit of force to try to separate top/bottom, and there would be failure all over that area

I'd also like to report that my successful attempt to pull apart the torso has resulted in a broken tab of the black/grey ring that is fit too snugly around the torso plug

I find it quite odd that none of the Asia figures have this issue. While I'll still continue to purchase fp/mt products, this is quite a bummer

So this is a second documented incident, and the failure point is the same as "kjyl" - the tabs on the gray ring.

Good to keep track of this so FPC doesn't just call this an "isolated incident"

Three so far, with the rest of the shipments to hit

the shittiest part of this is that FPC members have already given FPC/FP their money for this figure as part of their "membership"

Resorted to brute force and couldn't separate the halves. Ended up unscrewing and removing the grey part instead, pity, this is such a wonderful figure

Nice find there OptionZero. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive, so this is a good workaround. Just saw the post from FPCore regarding the issue and share them out as well.

As for FPCore, I think what they're saying from what I've read, is to give them a chance to rectify the issue. They've only received two reported issues out of the many that they've sent the figure to so far. So, as people get their copy, the community would report issues using the "form" that they provided (https://www.fpcore.com/support). They're already working on the fix. If people are brave enough, they can definitely follow the procedures that you've posted.

I can't wait to get this figure in hand. Hopefully, the issue is not widespread, and that an actual fix would be in place soon. We all don't want broken figures. :)

Fp: we ain't got an issue in Asia

So how do we prove there is an issue? Break it, report it, and have them read about our first hand experience/frustration

My peg broke when trying to separate the torso. Emailed fpcore, we'll see what happens.

That seems extreme thinking. What they are saying is that the batch that have been released so far, they've only received two reports for issues, albeit for the same issue. What they did say is that they have a warranty of the figure. All we need to do is just follow the support structure that they have put in place...

Mind you, I'm also waiting for mine to arrive. Supposed to be scheduled for a a Monday delivery. I do hope that it's not widespread. I do feel sorry for those that have the issue with their figure.

Up to three broken figures plus mine which I modified before breakage

    trying to figure out:
figures out in Asia were not purchased from FPC, right?
I believe FPC only covers North America and Europe?
The ones out in Asia must be from Action robo or some HK based retailer

Wonder if there was a distinct different production run that has the issue

I haven't attempted to separate mine but it does seem like you have to use excessive force to separate it. Will be reaching out to FPCore.

Actually it doesn't seem that ActionRobo has received this, otherwise they would have posted it on their FB?

And if there's been an Asian release, shouldn't we be seeing pics from Asian reviewers already?

Got a message from fans project core they don't have anybody in over the weekend but on Monday they are going to get my information and send me a replacement.

It looks like other people have gotten this toy both in Asia in the states so I MegaNet zero is right and that this is just perfect and one production run how much so is the question. But they seem to be on top of it so I'm pretty pleased.

I can kind understand them not wanting people to mess with the toys though, because how many people are going to screw that up and then want to refund or something.
