I want to see someone fandub this and see if they can make it a viable story if the writing and voice acting weren't trash. Imagine voiceovers during the combiner fighting/starscream flying filler, and competent acting for all the characters.

Yes constructive criticism is highly welcome. I'm sick of all the bashing, it only breeds stagnation. Save the bashing for the movie threads, at least there you can scream all you want and no one will listen.

 

Aaaand, I'm out. Whatever Hasbro paid for this was way too much. I feel ripped off for the time wasted looking forward to this turd, to say nothing of those 10 min I'll never get back.

 

Did hasbro pay for this ? Doesn't machinima fund their own stuff? I was under the impression that hasbro wasn't funding this .

 

i enjoy this series, flaws and all! the fact alone than windblade was gonna snipe the enigma with maxima's gun seems cool! i also LOVE starscream. reminds me of how piccolo, vegeta and mr. buu were bad guys that were focused on destruction and now are working on keeping the peace.

i wonder if computron really did die on the first episode, since menasor said "ZERO!" before computron finished his sentence. it also looked like he was sending a distress signal at the end (or is it just me?).

i also hope liokaiser shows up, but not a high hope......

 

That hurt. That almost physically hurt to sit through. Maybe seeing it in one go will make it watchable, but right now there are too many issues for me to enjoy it in any way.

 

the previews had a few details in it that are not really shown in the main series gist of it is combiners ravaged caminus killing nearly everyone, mistress of flame abandoned planet to join the council, optimus took down megatron in a big fight, starscream feels regret for what he did in the war and is trying to be a good guy now (which i really like) primes in exile and megatron likes battering constructicons

 

I'm almost afraid to say [type] this, but...

...I actually don't hate it! I thought it was going to be rubbish, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be.

I don't like the choppy animation much and the... I don't know what to call it? Tomb Cyberman speaking? No movement of the lips other than up/down. That's pretty terrible. And the voice acting is not the best. But I like the G1-ness! I like the character designs. I love that Starscream is now a good guy! I love that there are some strong female 'bots and they're not in it "just because we need a girlie girl".

Do I think it's the best TF cartoon we've ever seen? No. Do I think it's a step in the right direction? Yes! I'd love to see more G1-inspired cartoons! If they could build on this idea, maybe get some of the original voice actors onboard, get some talented writers to contribute and clean up the animation, I think they could produce a decent G1-esque cartoon that we could all enjoy.

I've just downloaded Episode 3 and I'll be watching it tonight. I hope it gets better and not worse. But, either way, I'd rather watch another 100 hours of this than sit through 10 minutes of another crappy Bay-verse movie.

 

Don't worry. You're not alone. I've been liking this series from the beginning in spite of its flaws.

Maybe I enjoyed it more because I didn't read any threads/reviews of it before I sat down and watched it last night? I downloaded everything, including the 360 character designs, and watched all the prequels and the trailer then the two episodes all in one go. Bits of it had my spine tingling! Genuinely looking forward to watching episode 3 later on.

Nice that it didn't start with 1:30 of emptiness. Windblade is definitely off balance if she just full out attacks Optimus Prime right off the bat. OP sounded like he needed to drop a deuce the entire time. Add OP to the list of voice acting I don't care for. Don't cybertronians self heal over time? Why would OP be walking around with a cracked windshield/chest? We get that he's a veteran of war, do we really need a busted chest to drive that home? Is there a CW war veteran Optimus figure coming with a shattered windshield?

BTW - I don't hate this series, but I'm not in love with it either. I'd like longer episodes. I don't care what the expectation was, they'd be better with longer run time and more content. The pace of the episodes is bad, not enough happening in each 5 min offering. Most of the voice acting is not good, but I actually like Windblade. Menasor was not good. Computron was OK. The combiners went down way too easy. Waiting for the explanation of why the individual bots didn't transform when the combined mode went down.

Anyway, I'll keep watching hoping that the story has a payoff somewhere down the line.

Not bad, nice little jab at prime there at the end. Overall, I like the characterization of megatron, an old (literally) war lord that simply wants to pick fights and insult, but has lost the fire that really made him dangerous.

 

Anyone know a way to download the video? Hola's not working, so I'm region locked out.
