Good. Old colors, no shitty HM patches. I might get the PS4 version then.
My only complain is the camera. WFC's camera was good. You could see most of the Transformer as opposed to FOC's camera where they kinda "hid" the Transformer by changing the camera position.

It's good that they are adding all DLC's too.

edit: I love the Infiltrator class, but it just can't hold up to anyone. I will unload an entire clip into whatever enemy is standing right in front of me, and nothing. Then they shoot me once, and I die.

 

Except it's true, and I'm absolutely not the only person who thinks this. FoC was good, but I just had a lot more fun with Devastation.

 

Please, please, please someone point me in the direction of some tips and tricks.

The colors... For some reason HMS removed the original color choices out of the PvP customization menu shortly after release. There was a lot of speculation why (HMS didn't like the "white" color, they wanted more of a divide between autobot/decepticon colors, they didn't want everyone playing as carbon copies of the actual characters, etc). I don't know if they ever gave a detailed explanation. In any case, the color choices in the customization menu now are the color choices that were available at launch before they were shortly replaced.

Infiltrator Tips - It's all up in the air for the PS4 version. But my advice for a good Infiltrator load out is (1) Path Blaster with Magma Dampener and (2) either Scatter Blaster with Sonic Blast or definitely the NCR (sniper rifle) with Deadeye if you're a good shot. I will say that Fire Blast for the Scatter Blaster has the added benefit of decreasing weapon damage drop off and locking up the other guy's weapons. But I'm not 100% sure how bad Fireblast took a hit in the PS4 version. HMS made some changes to the damage over time and I can't find that stat online. I also recommend EMP over cloaking since no one is fooled by the cloak anymore. Generally what I used to do was catch somebody from the back, throw the EMP at them, and then unload with the Scatter Blaster. However, Dontae (one of the best Infiltrator players) use to just cloak, get up somewhere off the ground (boxes, ledges, etc) and snipe with the Path Blaster.

 

The key to infiltrators is to always be moving. They're best suited to capture the flag sstyle gameplay, hit and run, never stay in the same place too long.

 

I remember the Path Blaster being nerfed quite a bit for example, adjusting reticule bloom and lowering damage if I recall directly. I just played the MP on the 360 where the weapon has been patched not on the XONE where it's not.

 

Don't take them on head on, as an Infiltrator you have to pick your fights and only engage when you have the advantage. The Infiltrator's kit is that of a flanker - they aren't designed to rush in head on. Let your team lure out the opposition then approach from a different angle when they are engaged in the fire fight. Personally I love the Path Blaster for consistent damage at mid to close range with the Scatter Blaster in tight corridors.

Learn the lay out of the maps (important for any class) and always keep an escape route in mind. The intercooler is especially helpful at earlier levels when paired with cloaking - you'll be able to stay cloaked for a decent amount of time and really pick your fights. Gotta love being able to get right behind a Titan or Destroyer and empty the Scatterblaster before they figure out what is going on. Likewise throwing a volley of EMP grenades in quick succession is a great way to kill any synergy the opposition had.

Basically just hit and run. If you want to stand your ground you aren't using the right class for the job.

It's quite easy in my opinion. I remember before setting the game down my last match was 34-0 as an Infiltrator. All you have to do is keep steady aim, keep moving and always aim for the head. Today I went about 12-5 I think.

Likewise I enjoyed ROTF more than WfC or FoC. I've yet to play Devastation.

If only it was bundled with War for Cybertron, there would have been no hesitation.

As it stands $50 is definitely a bit too much for a game that, while is fantastic, is now 4 years old.

 

What they need to do is smack Activision upside their heads to get a 3rd/final installment to the FoC/WfC series (I will smack the st000pid out of any of youz that insist RotDS is a continuation when knowing full well it is an alternate timeline dealing with, or mentioning, multiple universes jammed between WfC & FoC  ).

Seriously, I remember that it was YEARS before the digital version of FoC dropped its price in the PSN store. That complete edition was still like 80 to 90 bucks in late 2014. They've never let this game go for cheap, even when the used game market had it for $15.

We can only hope that strong sales of this PS4 version might convince Activision to do a sequel to FoC.

 

Regardless of the price debate.....this game has provided more hours of MP excitement, the best single player TF campaign I've ever experienced, AND was the catalyst that got me into collecting.

I can't thank FOC enough.... so I gladly thanked them with my $50 donation.

I would LOVE to see a PS4 follow up game in a similar style.

Hey, I don't suck, I just remember breezing through FOC's Escalation waves and it's been a while so I thought was around 5 waves....

Now in WFC, one night me and my Son made it up to wave 90 on Broken Hope, (2 PS3's). Even when one of us had to put a controller down for a bathroom break we had each other's backs.

That's why I still have WFC to this day! And that's what's missing from FOC (among other things).

So the fact that they wan't 50 bucks for this game is rather insulting. I wouldn't even waste a gift card.

 

As much as I love this game, I won't aid Activision by providing free promoting on their behalf. They want $50 for this? They can get off their lazy asses and do the promotional work. Friggin earn that price they want.
