Makes no sense that Doublecross gets the deluxe treatment, but not his bro's???   But then again, part of me shudders at how badly a deluxe Repugnus could end up (especially without the sparker).

That elephant HM has got to be one of the more interesting Japan-only releases for the HM line. I bet this Titan Master adds a robot mode and combines with a vehicle to make an elephant...

I liked that version. Well, the robot mode was good... but that truck mode was ridiculous! WAY too modern. Kup should look like a jalopy, not the most expensive truck in the lot!

Got really excited seeing the name repugnus, then that all died down when i saw it was a titan master. hopefully it will come with a tiny repugnus beast mode to combine with and be ok.

One day deluxe repugnus, one day.

 

It's certainly not the worst, but I was also never totally enamored with it, and the headsculpt was pretty bad.

 

I am most looking forward to Doublecross!!! Since Hasbro isnt going to do a proper Repugnus, I will wait and see what Takara does. If nothing else, I would love to get a new Monsterbots team!!!!

 

really wondering if krok will have a gatoraider titanmaster with a actual alligator mode or just a name. (would not mined for a idw homage with a fulcrum titan master)

 

What makes the TR line outstanding? THEY'RE DOING THE OBSCURE CHARACTERS! Finally, Hasbro, finally.  

Why does everyone hate on the head sculpt? Have you seen the 86 movie? That's what Kup looked like 90% of the time.

Anyone else find the irritating irony that Hasbro is sort of using FunPub as a free testing kit for new ideas? This isn't the first time they've "borrowed" a character... I'm saying FunPub shouldn't have to request these obscure guys and make toys, before Hasbro notices that MAYBE it makes sense to make a Krok and NOT another deluxe BB or Optimus.  

 

Still waiting for Pointblank or Sureshot... But Kup is cool I guess

 

just to temper expectations, from what we've heard front the so-far 99% accurate Transmissions podcast:
Deluxe Getaway - Chromedome redeco
Quake - Hardhead redeco
Krok - Skullcruncher redeco
Topspin - no rumors that I recall but I could see a Highbrow redeco/remold, except for the fact they have a very similar color break up.
Perceptor - new mold
Sergeant Kup - new '86 accurate mold aka Blurr

I'm not saying I don't like Kup... but I'm with you on seeing the other guys. Target Masters and Powermasters would be cool...

 

I got what they were going for, it just didn't translate the best to 3D IMHO (and kinda looked constipated, which I suppose can happen when you are that old)

Ooooh... Thanks for that list. Now I get it: these characters weren't picked so much as matched to current molds.     The mold recycling begins!!!!    

 

  Maybe I watched a different movie, but I think that head captures Kup well.

I ended up getting that iGear replacement skull after reading all the negativity toward that head and.... I actually like the toy's head better. It's goofy and fun. By comparison, the iGear head (which has its own merits) looks a bit forced and embarrassing - like someone gave your dad a cigar and told him to look "tough" for a photo!  

 

i did not think about mold reuse (some of these have to be) so krok being the alligator mode is kinda neat ( being a action master hes not really tied to a alt mode anyway)

 

Getaway will be bought to replace 2007 Movie Breakaway on the Lost Light shelf.

Quake will be bought to hang out with Spinister and Needlenose.

I'm happy with my club Krok and Gatoraider.

Topspin we'll see...

Perceptor I'll probably buy as long as it's better than the RTS one (to replace him on my LL shelf)

Kup really all depends on how he looks. I'm happy with my Universe Kup.

 

They are sure going full force for this Titan Return series.
