If you can't see the order in your account on the Hasbro Toy Shop, then it didn't go through. After paying with Paypal, did you get a "generic error" on HTS? The Paypal order is like swiping your card, putting in the amount, but never hitting the final enter step.

I honestly don't care for the HISS tank this year. I think the year 2 shockwave/HISSTANK was much cooler and I loved those accessories.

This was the worst year ever for me. My god was the site slow as FUUUUUCCCCKKKKK!!!!! Had everything in my cart, then slowly, one by one, they were out of stock. Obi-wan and Soundwave. Got my collector set and I guess there is no rush on Fort Max. And fuck was everything expensive as shit to boot!

Well, looks like I'll have to wait on a restock....

Missed out on Tablet Soundwave but it was a half-hearted attempt, to be honest. Didn't really feel it as much as the GI Joe and Transformers Crossover set. Would've been nice to get Tablet SW if only because he reminds me of Device Label era stuff and would be neat to have SW face off against my DL Blaster (as clunky as his robot mode is, at least he can fit a cassette in his chest). But in the end, the bot mode of Tablet SW just doesn't evoke enough of the G1 character for me (maybe if he were metallic blue instead of black) and I probably would've regretted the purchase later.

I did get Fort Max though. Granted I could wait for the Takara version (since I'm already right here in Japan) but the fact that they haven't shown us a sword yet is disconcerting, plus I rather liked SDCC Metroplex and feel Fort Max has a similarly nice treatment (passed on SDCC Devastator last year though; all that gaudy purple chrome was an eyesore on construction vehicles).

Everyone who wants the Soundwave should now that he's not SDCC exclusive. He's a normal release overseas, and you can order directly from the source to get one. Tfsource for 50$ has the special gold version for preorder also

Yep, I've had to do it the last three years or so. I only ever get the TF exclusives, but in recent years, there has been a lot of them with some of them being pretty expensive (Devastator, Combiner Hunters, Kre-O set for 2015, Dinobots, Knights of Unicron, Kre-O set for 2014, Devastator, Shockwave Lab, Titan Guardians, Epic Conclusion for 2013), so they add up very quickly.

I think the amount that triggers it is $300, but don't quote me on that.

Edit: Just got my confirmation e-mail.

MTG and SW have always sold as fast or faster then Transformers. And it really isn't transformers as a problem since SDCC now has multiple offerings of TF, high-priced offerings, and retail and Takara competitive offerings. Soundwave is unique. Fort Max, not so much.

It is light on extras that the previous sets had. I gotta have that Powerglide Rattler, but agree the Shockwave HISS was better than this Soundwave. Would have preferred a Beachcomber AWE Striker instead, but maybe that will be in next year's set.

Honestly by comparison to all the other SDCC shopping I did this year, HTS was relatively decent (which is still awful). Barnes & Noble, Forbidden Planet, Popcultcha, Gamestop, Toys R Us all slowed down to unbearable crawls for me when their stuff went live and led to sellouts on a number of things I had in my cart. Only Hot Topic, Walgreens and Amazon didn't lag to hell. Walgreens was a shocker, really.

If the HTS site performed the way the B&N site did on their release day, people would still be trying (and failing to load) carts with Jyn in them for another two more hours until finally enough orders trickled through the page errors to actually sell out.

So it could be worse, heh.

Literally just received mine. So about 40 minutes.

And I agree, I don't feel like this one was that bad at all, even compared to previous SDCC HTS days. Yeah things sell out fast and it sucks... I've missed stuff too (still wish I had that damn carbonite Han). But could've been a lot worse. I'm a little curious as to how more people would feel about this if they went through it every single month (often to worse degrees) ordering Bandai/Tamashii Nations items heh. At this point I'm just used to it lol.

Placed my order for Fort Max and Titan Force. Thought I would have plenty of time this year on those sets. Of course, I put my phone away and was distracted at work, head out to break and see over 10 pages added to the thread and had a brief moment of dread. My confirmation email hasn't been sent yet but my order is in my account history now. So I feel confident.

Hope most of you get what you want!
