The worst part about this is that it's not offensive or disgusting, it's just plain boring. Is there a lot of action? Absolutely, literally from start to finish is one big fight. But the fight itself loses all interest by the time Computron dies. Say what you want about the Bayformers, at least the fights are interesting to watch.

They wanted to do a lot with this but they cut it too short for anyone to gain any sort of investment. Computron dies, then Maxima dies. I thought Maxima and Computron were going to be interesting, but turns out she's just cannon fodder for Menasor, who is in-turn cannon fodder for Windblade.

Finally, the lip-sync is terrible. 3/10

Just a personal thing, but killing my favorite combiner off in the first 30 seconds sucked.(Until he got better.) The combiner fight falling fromorbit could have been something insanely cool, instead it's just them punch each other on repeat with only 3 different sounds. Menasor was cool, I'm glad he got characaterization but that voice is just so unfitting. Computron's was too but you didn't hear much of it. Anywho, Menasor was right in the sense that Windblade a blind killer. Her intentions are just "murder them all" because their Combiners, when we see Computron is exectly the opposite of what she believes. The part where Maxima dies was weak. Windblade's 2 second force crying was weak. The whole thing just felt underwhelming.
Maybe it's partially because I was super excited for this though.

Music was great, didn't match what was going on at all but was great.
Hopefully things can shape up as the focus shifts elsewhere. I think they should have just made a movie, then cut it up instead of just making 5 minute episodes that can be combined.

Honestly, it wasn't as bad as the comments made it out to be. Sure there's much room for improvement, but it was only five minutes. I'm willing to suspend further judgment until the plot really kicks in.

 

The 'nerd' bit made me laugh but I could have done with less rage-mode Windblade. It probably would have worked better for me if they'd actually shown what the Combiners had originally done to p#$$ her off.

 

Honestly, I doubt it was so much the voice actors as the director. A bad director can screw up good actors.

I like it. Which is ain't saying much it could be due to meds (prescription painkillers legally given to me ) or the chronic boredom. Wind blade sounds a bit different though and Caminus is deserted. Not mention that the writers are not over the Enigma of Combination

Now I will sum up what I thought of it from other threads: this really should have been a second episode, with the first setting up some of the story. The cartoon assumes you've read a TON of backstory, and the dialogue and wanton extreme kickassery make me think of Liefeld's Extreme Studios/Awesome Entertainment comics. The voice acting is more mismatched than terrible, with the dialogue making it seem worse than it is.


I've seen the train hit the other train, so I guess I can at least stay fixated until the other cars come colliding into the buildings.

 

Well, that sucks. Must have missed that memo - I thought this was a full, 22-minute episode type of deal.

I thought it was okay, for five minutes, but knowing this, I'll just wait until the whole thing is done.

 

That or a lack of direction at all. I can't say enough how true this is.

 

Me too. I never saw anything about this being crappy 5 min episodes. What a rip off. Ugh, killed my enthusiasm for the whole thing.

 

And it's not to say shorts are inherently bad. Look at Genndy Tartovsky's Clone War shorts from several years back. Those were friggin awesome. Unfortunately, this TF show did not follow suit.
