    Update on Pointblank:

Maybe not as obvious as the white on Jetfire, but here's the before and after

Overall I'm really happy with the result, but I do recommend taking them apart in the future as some of the colored pieces start to sun fade and it would have been nice to remove the finished parts while the others still soaked. Plus, I did see some minor additional rusting to the already rusty screws...so, that's that if you plan to ever try this yourself :)

PointBlank looks great. :thumb  I thought you would have trouble with the blue plastic because of a video I saw but after seeing this it's clear that guy over cooked his figure. :)

Yeah, with the white it's ok if it gets "sun bleached" but the other colors you have to watch more closely --- which is a challenge since the process takes 2-3 days as it is.

I always walk into these projects under the assumption that it will be destroyed and make sure I'm comfortable with buying a new body if I need to.

I wanted to do a few test runs before I consider the chest on my Grandus:

A bit harsh - think there's only one I cant see, which I've probably missed

Amazing display and collection by the way, wish I has the space to have something similar (and the collection too for that matter). How bad is the dusting?

Still need the Euro Action Master Windmill, so hopefully that's the one you saw missing :lol

Thanks for the kudos! I've been wanting to get this display up and running for YEARS... When my partner and I went house hunting, my requirement was a windowless room for the Transformers and he got a 3rd stall tandem garage for a project car :)

Dusting isn't tooooo bad since the room is closed off and no one goes in there with any frequency so it just doesn't collect dust like the other rooms of the house do. That said, canned air is my friend and every few months I'll take everything down from one section and give it a proper clean :)

    Yep that's the one!

Had a similar requirement when house buying a few years ago, except the room I had ear marked as a display room was turned into the study and I was eventually allowed one wall :lol

Awesome awesome awesome collection and displays!

Careful with the peroxide trick though. I have seen the discoloration come back.

Turbine, thanks so much for sharing your collection, I really enjoyed seeing the concept and the vast variety of the collection! Keep it up!

Curious, do you keep the boxes to the figures as well?

Awesome.... Also, how cool is it to slot in a modern MP version in next to tbe original... Can't believe we've got a mp Victory Leo before a mp Jazz though haha.

I look forward to checking back in to see how the display evolves :)

    Thanks man :)

And yeah, I know they can discolor again but I get some enjoyment out of restoring a junker looking bot to "closer to new" condition. One of those "makes me smile" moments that I enjoy about this hobby :thumb

Thanks! This collection has been a huge work in progress over the years, still need to get my BW/BM/AEC, etc lines up and displayed. Just added some new shelves to help with that, but I know they won't all fit :p

I plan to pair down to "key figures" and then store or give away the rest.

Also got a short shelf for the Alternators put together:

As far as boxes, I don't actively collect them. Any vintage ones I happen to have the box for, I keep or sell cheap to someone who wants it. Newer stuff I keep for a while then purge. I keep all the instructions, comics, etc and generally I keep the MP 3PMP boxes.

But really, could you imagine how much space that many boxes would take up?!!

That's my favorite part of this display!! Having set aside space for the eventual MPs really gives a sense of "light at the end of the tunnel" for my display.

And I agree about Victory Leo before Jazz :lol

That Trailbreaker spot should be filled soon though :thumb
