Between this guy and Long Arm, I am having prophetic visions of a "Hoist/Trailbreaker" set at Botcon 2008....

As for the toy, it looks great. Also nice to get closer pics of the Barricade repaint and Payload. I'm sort of glad they just left Barricade as Barricade, with a new deco, rather than trying to squeeze another character out of him.

 

Dropkick looks like a racing adversary in Midnight Club II: Street Racing for the PS2

I like his bio, makes it seem as though not every Decepticon enjoys doing Megatron's bidding or doing Decepticon stuff (outside of Starscream of course).

 

Am I the only one who thinks that bio is hilariously awesome?

OMG. Must have is right! This is the best looking Deluxe robot mode in the line IMO. They've out done themselves with his clever new Transformation. Then to top it off, his Bio is cool too. I want him like yesterday! He's so fricken detailed and doesn't have those annoying flat goalie legs that Alt Prime has.

 

NICE. Y'know I'm liking a lot of the non-movie toys even more than the movie ones. Dreadwing looks kinda weak but all the others have been great.

 

Bonecrusher's bio was similar in that regards as the only reason he's following Megatron is because Megatron made him go. It just goes to show what kind of tyrannical badass Megatron really is.

I *was* hoping to pass on this guy as I'm not too fond of the alt mode...but I'll be damned if that bot mode ain't awesome. Another 'con for the fodder.

 

I believe this is the first mention of a barricade repaint though. Probably just a white police car now but still I'd buy him again since g1 repaint jazz (final battle jazz) is supposed to be on shelves at the same time.

 

I have to say, that's an impressive-looking toy. The image on the back of the box turned me off, but these photos have pretty much got me sold. That is a HUGE decepticon symbol. Must be the largest of all time on an actual toy, yes? The weapon is a bit cheesy, but I suppose it could be made to work as a shield. Overall, looks like it's worth ten bucks. Barricade's repaint looks interesting, but it's still too small an image to tell for sure. I passed on the black deco, but since I love blue I may have to spring for the repaint.

Final battle Jazz is a damaged version of Jazz (still silver), and G1 Jazz is another product that is coming out later this year. As for Recon Barricade, I already have the regular one, so I won't get this one. It doesn't look as scary.

Wow man this guy's pretty awesome

 

I like that even his tail gate opens! I don't get the windshield chest because the rest of it isn't part of it. It's neat how they did it but just looks out of place. Over all the robot mode looks ok. I really like the truck, lot's of little features on such small character is very cool. I also agree about the Decepticon logo and it's size and placement as being a really nice touch!

 

Not liking it. Those legs are just stupid. I do like that towtruck one, though.
