IMO, It's ok to have a difference of opinions and preferences as long as people don't berate others as if theirs are somehow wrong. And I'm not talking about you; just people in general.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

Looking forward to the Black Zarak variant of this. Couldn't really find an attraction in dystopia but I'm all over that.

Just got this beast and have to wait a week to transform him until I get back from Florida. What a monster!

Any actual pics yet? I think it was announced but figured a repaint would be quick to show and market.

Out of principle I would agree but since we only see these types of things out of context we never know the person's motivation. Maybe he's broke and has to sell it to make ends meet. As others have mentioned, maybe he has absolutely no connection to the character or this toyline so it's an opportunity for someone else to own it who does.

Honestly, in the grand scheme of things, he's not asking for that much money considering it's a prototype. I think it worked out to roughly $430? I know that can be a lot of money in Thailand but as other members have chimed in -- it's not like this is a final finished piece that can be handled normally and transformed without being extra cautious.

My Pandinus arrived today. He's pretty overwhelming. I'm really enjoying it so far but there's one little thing that concerns me, maybe you guys can help ease my mind.

The silver face came off my Headmaster. Is it supposed to do that? I was able to pop it back in place easy enough, but is it supposed to be glued on?

No its meant to be removed for transformation, it allows the mini bot to not have a giant dumb face hanging off his ass. haha You can leave it on for the scorpion mode tho.

I don't think it's meant to be removed, but mine's not glued in either.

Thanks, General. I know MT likes to give the option of swapping faces so I'm guessing they didn't glue it just in case they decided to give the figure some different facial expressions.

Something else I noticed, and it seems to be normal, is that the detail lines on the tops of the leg pistons are all going in random directions. Has anyone tried turning the tops or popping them out to get them looking more symmetrical? I tried to move one but didn't have any luck. I'm thinking those might be glued in.

I tried just now. They're pointing in random directions on my figure as well. They seem to be glued in. The bond might be stronger than the plastic; I don't think there's any way to move them without marring them.

So I had some extra money come to me recently and debated back and forth on what to spend it on and I ultimately decided on Pandinus. Figured if I don't jump on this now I probably won't ever get another chance, so I ordered one from TF Source on Monday. I didn't realize that due to the package's large size, they'd have to send it via Fedex and it arrived today to my shock. Holy crap!

First off, while I knew he would be big, I didn't realize he'd be this big! (that's what she said!)

I was a bit intimidated at first thanks to the big warning sheet that says that you need to follow the instructions carefully or else you'll lose a limb or something. I often don't bother with instructions but this was one of those instances were I meticulously followed every step as they were laid out. I pretty much got the hang of it quick. Both the temple and scorpion modes are things of beauty, but this guy will spend most of his time in bot mode. I remember being a kid and staring at one of the weekly Toys R Us sales adverts that had a picture of Scorponok in it, so looking at Pandinus' scorpion mode kind of fulfilled one of my personal holy grails. I originally planned on putting him in my detolf but he's much to big for that, at least not without removing one of the shelves.

he might be the most amazing transformer ever made

the sheer gall of MT to dare to do this
    then doing it
and then doing it with zero QC issues for something this massive, with a headmaster, three modes

i just wish it had a legit box design, G1 style like their giftsets and metroplex

While I was disappointed by this, it made tossing out the box all the more easier. I don't even know where I'd put a box that big.

I dare Takara to beat this design, they can't. It is so amazing. My only problem with it is I wish it was OS to scale to Fort Max.

I kind of like him being a bit smaller. It makes the rivalry more dynamic.

Max uses his size and strength, while Scorpy uses his agility and animal savagery to overwhelm him.

If it was close it wouldn't be a problem but you are looking at 10 inches. He almost should be bigger because he has the brutish appearance. Still love the bot and design. I have to have this one eventually and economically, I know how hard it was for Maketoys to make this work. They could easily floor us with a Trypticon and Fort Max. Very eager to see their take on those characters.

Pandinus may be shorter than Titan Fort Max in their bot modes but last night I put Pandinus in scorpion mode and Fort Max in the space carrier whatever its called mode and the size difference between the two pretty much disappears. I think Maketoys are wizards or something.
