For everyone that ended up getting a confirmation email but woke up this morning not seeing it in their accounts, did you go all the way to the end to the page where it said your order was made? I had epic problems getting booted out as I mentioned last night. But eventually I made it all the way to the final page, saw that it was ordered. This morning I checked after reading this thread and yes, just like last night when I saw the order in my account, it's still there this morning. So it looks like I'm fine. My guess is someone dropped an extra one maybe after the fact and I grabbed it? That said, I am fully prepared for an HLJ email in the next few days saying that my order was done in order, that there wasn't enough stock and due to a system error, I got one, and they are cancelling it because they can't fulfill it (even though I suspect they will have extra available on release date.) Just in case though, normally I have orders go in my private warehouse until I ship, but this time I have set it to go out as soon as it's available. Sucks that this has happened to people. I fully blame Bandai.
Man.....it looks like I missed out on a shit-storm Hopefully you all that got your orders in, still get the valk.
Well my HLJ order is still in place but now I don't see anything in my AmiAmi queue. Hopefully the HLJ order stays. So basically we're all just hoping for a Christmas miracle. Thanks, Bandai. <_<
Shitstorm indeed. I'm glad I was browsing HLJ because they put their order page about 3-4 minutes before every other site. I was able to order before HLJ's site went to hell. So far, (knock on wood) HLJ has come through for me on every Bandai valk, so hopefully this will be no different. I remember tweeting HLJ a month ago about saving us on Macross Preorder day and they replied back, "We will do our best to give you all the macross you can handle."
Haha, I hope it's true and funny response from them. Mine is still showing up in my open orders. Fingers crossed and shitstorm indeed. I'm not looking forward to the day Grim Reaper goes up (any ideas on date?) but now I want it bad. They are f'in with human emotions and it's working to their advantages...f'ers, lol. So, any announcement about armor parts for these things? Lol, I'm ready for more torture soon.
Still not showing up in my open orders at HLJ. I fully expect HLJ to respond to my email saying I don't have one now.
That was a fucking blood bath and like everyone said, I expect HLJ to fuck it up Edit: looks like it made it to "open orders" in my account so I'll pray it sticks
Yes it's incredibly frustrating Yamato/Arcadia is priced high enough, and based on older designs so they're pretty easy to get if u pony up bandai new designs are much cheaper usually, especially with preorder discount BUT preorders sell out in minutes if not seconds so ur paying secondary prices that meet Arcadia prices Sadly the easiest Valks to get are the Bandai TWE- no discount, no limited stock, made to order so u pay full retail but have peace of mind This is the macross valk life
But it wasnt like that until the renewals arrived. The v1 25 must've had higher numbers cause those were always available. Now its just ridiculous.
I was never into anything but VF-1 but I'm getting caught up in the Macross hype and it truly is my all time favorite ongoing anime series. The toys are all high quality, well designed and extremely satisfying to own. I got back into collecting because of transformers but I've bought more Macross (and Star Wars) than Transformers since coming back. This Bandai situation is a pita though.
So I preordered the VF-31J this morning and got my confirmation mail at 16:05 JST. Afterwards I tried to order the Metal Build Blue Frame but never got anywhere other than gateway and page not found errors. So I've decided to go to work. Nine hours later I was back home with the Blue Frame still in my cart so I decided to order it and it went through. Confirmation mail and showing up in my account. This is extremely worrisome for the VF-31J because some people also ordered through this method. I hope HLJ can secure enough stock. Hopefully my VF-31J order goes through. I wonder if I should try to secure one anywhere else. NY would probably be the only alternative.
Seems like the HLJ website updates its stock as long as you have it in your cart...It is yours as long as you go through with the order or until they purge it from your cart. At least I hope that's how it works. How are you going to secure one from NY when they sold out within seconds? I added it to my cart as soon as it showed up and was given the sold out message when I tried to check out. They even sent me an email that my preorder was cancelled due to not being available.
Further weirdness from HLJ. In my account, it says the last activity was: 2016/08/01 Email Sent: Order Confirmation But the open orders still is just the Takara Computron I'm waiting for and nothing more.
Yep. Got mine. Glad I got in ami ami. That better stick! Hello- This is Mark Kutsugi at HobbyLink Japan. Thank you for your order for Bandai's BANN06298 DX Chogokin VF-31J Siegfried (Hayate Immelmann). The stock status of that item was regretfully Order Stop at the time you placed your order. A bug in our system allowed it to stay in your shopping cart when it was no longer available for order. The bug is being corrected now. As the limit of orders for the amount of stock we expect to receive was already reached, this item will be cancelled from your order within 48 hours. You have not been charged for this item. BANN06298 DX Chogokin VF-31J Siegfried (Hayate Immelmann) is expected to be released on or about 12/31. If supplies are sufficient, we will accept more orders for it at that time. In the meantime, if more stock becomes available, more orders may be accepted. We do not currently have a system to alert you if that happens, but you're welcome to monitor its page in our online catalog: DX Chogokin VF-31J Siegfried (Hayate Immelmann) by Bandai | HobbyLink Japan Please accept our apologies for this situation. We appreciate your understanding, and hope to serve you in the future. Best Regards, Mark Kutsugi HobbyLink Japan
