Took me a few hours to put Guardia together tonight, but goddamn does he look good all combined. He's rock solid, too

I tell ya what the clamps on axle that lock him to vulcans foot sure are a bitch to unhook again. Not really sure what the best method is to get them off, seems to require a lot of force and I worry they'll stress after a while.

I'm at a point where I enjoy handling axle and vulcan on their own enough but the other three eh not so much I think I might go n get doubles of them some day. Cause decombining and re-assembling guardia sure takes a while and man do i wish I could just handle vulc and axle more often without having to go through that process.

But I worry MT is going to do some amazing g2 set or even a guard city set and that'd be a much nicer excuse to double dip. We'd have a red vulcan either way and he'd look amazing in red.

I 100% agree. Vulcan would look totally STUNNING in red. That would for sure be my choice as well.

If anyone is having trouble disconnecting Axle from the Guardia knee/Axle shoulder joint, disconnect Axle's arms from the white plate which sits on his back and that will free up the arms allowing for a really easy separation.

I may be thinning out my collection and selling my Guardia. I'd rather sell to a board member than ebay. PM if interested.

Hey everyone--I apologize for bringing this topic back up, especially if it's been answered: Can anyone advise the best means to take off their original Axle's handlebar piece? I would prefer not having to use a needle nose/damaging the figure itself.

    Thanks in advance.

I clipped the handles off first then slowly wiggled the center portion off with some narrow tipped pliers, their was no damage to the structure around the piece. Its glued in where it slots but its very weak glue so a good couple of tugs n wiggles and it pops out eventually. Helps to nudge it from below a bit too with the same pliers. The new part easily slots in and stays with friction since its thicker.

Much easier and worry-free than I initially thought it was going to be.

Looks like Axle and Rover will be getting a second run this coming September. Why not do a box set instead.

A box set would be cool, especially if it's discounted since they save on all the individual packaging and it's a re-run of existing product molds. I'd consider picking this set up for around $300 like Quantron. But that's probably the only way I'd get Guardia short of a big sale on the individual figures or receiving it as a gift. I have Katana and he's kind of cool but some of the design elements, like the shoulders, are awkward.

Seems like an easy fix. Contact your retailer and they'll send you a new one - assuming you went with any reputable place

Its a shame of all the figures of this set you decided to get you went with easily the weakest member. Would be like jumping in to the m3 set and starting with Downforce or Overheat with Quantron.

In all three cases you don't have a bad toy at all but compared to the other limbs and especially the torso bots they're almost in a different tier altogether cause the others are so very very much better.

Also why would you want a full set now if you already have katana? surely you mean you want the limbs for not 65 each and vulcan for not 135. That's only 330 altogether tho, so you really are fretting over a mere 30 bucks more than the price you wanna pay to finish it? hmm

oh yea I'm not worried about not getting it addressed. just amazing how the factory can miss two huge pieces during packaging, and how it's such a tease for me to have all the figures but not be able to combine them.
