Given that apparently no one noticed that a Miner was running around with a .01% Spark, I'm beginning to wonder if some slipped through the cracks.

it was said by senator shockwave i believe during the matrix heist that glitch's powers would continue to grow as evidenced by his range increasing by the time of the time travel incident.now just add millions of years more experience to that

Who? Can someone remind me who that character is? I've read all the issues (I swear), but I don't remember this character.

Glitch is one of the Outliers that Shockwave had been building into a little team of X-Men in Shadowplay.

    Glitch (IDW - Transformers Wiki)

He and the other Outliers were off in the wilderness with Orion Pax in Elegant Chaos, and then there's a big blank space in his history until the first Scavengers story, which is (if I'm not mistaken) Tarn's first appearance.

...When you think about it, Roller was a Point One Percenter, and that allowed him to carry more weight than the average bot. That drink that he keeps sipping on allowed him to take on more weight, but it was addictive. Why did he keep drinking it? Because he felt like he wasn't needed among the outliers and wanted to keep up with them and his best friend Orion Pax.

    Is he a load-bearer?

I thought Roller was just a Big Bruiser .01%.

Yeah, I got the same impression. Big tough dude. Take a punch, land a punch, like Grimlock.

    Just some observations:

    1. Glitch/Tarn said he always hated Grimlock, yet there is no documented evidence proving Grimlock ever joined the 'cons except for a somewhat deranged Fortress Maximus calling him one. FM was born after the war began and well after Grimlock fought alongside Optimus at the start of the war. Either Fort Max is an idiot (my guess), or Glitch became Tarn well after the war began, which begs the question how no one knew who he was.

    2. Prowl knew Tarn was a Point One Percenter. Either Prowl was fed (and believed) bad intelligence, which I find hard to believe. So, was Glitch really a POP or did Prowl assume he was?

Tarn confirmed his spark was green while he was attempting to off himself with the NUKE.

Given that Megatron was given his spark by the cast from the future (with his original iirc destroyed by Rewind) he is kind of an exception there. And he clearly was seen as an oddity by the system since he was never labelled or classified as forged or constructed cold.

It seems clear that neither Tarn's identity nor his powerset were unknown to the Autobots...at least, not to Prowl. The Nuke is another matter and might have been a secret the DJD took to the grave.

So yes, it is an open question why of the .01%ers in Pax's resistance, only Roller's green spark was discussed, not Pax's or Glitch's. While it's possible that it simply never came up, one would imagine that a .01%er / outlier would be of great interest. Of course, maybe it was just discussed off panel.

In Glitch's case, a guy who's been mutilated by authority once might be wary about standing out too much.

I guess I'm in the minority: I'm one who loved this season, was on the edge of my seat till the very end, and still think the work Roberts is doing in this series is brilliant.

I love the character-driven stories he's giving us and still think they're among the best stories we've ever gotten in transformers.

The Necrobot? What a fantastic character. The DJD? Classic. (I'm sure they'll show up again in future continuities of TF's. And the work he's done with existing characters is unprecedented. Brainstorm, skids, nautical, swerve, thunder clash, tailgate... On and on. So many characters have had significant development in this series and in this season.

And what he has done with megatron takes the cake in my opinion. Remember the "megatron origin" miniseries several years ago? This book has done what that series failed to do in fleshing out megatron's heart and motivations. The tumultuousness of the way Megs has acted makes total sense to me given all that has happened over the last 4 million years. He's a tormented character, and we've got to watch him wrestle all season with his past in very poignant ways. (I'll never forget the page of him standing by his statue in a field of blue flowers on necroworld.)

I hear that others are upset by all the science-fiction-y elements that came up in this issue, but I do think they were set up well. For example: megatron's new ability to manipulate the power of black holes. That's been getting set up all season, with whirl's arm and the time Megs has been spending in his has suite thinking and working.

Great planning; great writing. Never seen another comic like it. Rare is the story that handles so many characters so well.

Oh, and I don't mind that tarn ended up being glitch. It was a well-executed surprise, especially the way roller showed up in the same issue.

I'm grateful for Roberts and his work in this book!

Grimlock was almost certainly a Decepticon at some point and there have been a couple of hints to that throughout the series. Unfortunately the pre-war -ity comics were written by someone who just didn't care in any way about continuity, so who knows if another writer will explore it.

With 3 of these in Pax's group alone, i would be more inclined to label this group "50%"ers. Way more common storyline wise than the category implies.

This may have been noticed already but the nature of the necroworld may have been in sight since #44. Censere said he hailed from "the high ceilinged manifold" which was said to be lost in the first civil war. Well, a sphere is a type of manifold (mathemetically speaking) and what is the thing that Rung and Nightbeat are standing on other than a ceiling. Censere wasn't telling Nightbeat where is was from, but where he lived at the time which we now know to be a part of cybertron...

And how exactly it matters, when Overlord is a pretty simple flat out psycho?

Being more complex than Overlord doesn'r really equal being the most deep and multi-layered character ever.

Nor what Roberts said at Botcon is any contradiction to his lampshades of the DJD.

Some readers called DJD for what they are in their first issue and pretty much guessed that they'll all end dead.

So sorry other readers went with headcanon and then were dissapointed. :X

TBH, this reaction again confirms that MTME is an enjoyable book, but its fandom is even more "enjoyable" to just observe. :p
